George Clooney Arrested During D.C. Protest

George Clooney was arrested in Washington D.C. this morning while participating in a protest over the Sudan crisis.
The Descendants star was charged with a misdemeanor after crossing a police line. Clooney and a group of protesters were crowded in front of a Sudanese embassy.
The 50-year-old actor's rep issued the following statement:
- "They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."
Clooney is now at a D.C. police station getting booked.
