I love Julia Roberts, but my god it hurts to think that she had to take precious time away from solving the worlds problems over her Starbucks coffee by talking to us little people. Why isn't the government doing more? Hey!!! Do you have anymore half and half??

Where there is pain I wish you peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt I wish you renewed confidence in your ability to work through it. Where there is tiredness or exhaustion I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength. Where there is fear I wish you love and courage. This is my wish for you.

I was in the Pharmacy yesterday and the elderly lady in front of me couldn't pay for her medication. Where is her hope. Oh yeah don't forget to visit New Orleans this year on your vacation. Does anyone know how much the Multi-platinum recording artists donated, Kayne? How about these blockbuster movie stars?

Posted by: cottonwhite and still care for others

Its hard to beleive how ugly Americans can be. I want to thank all of those who are willing to give to others without an agenda. I'm poor and was still able to give. Why do you people hate others and then call yourself " God Fearing People" You ask, why should we help these people when we have so many poor in America. The answer is because we can " you can ". Ask yourself, how much did I give to New Orleans and would $10 be too much to help others that don't live in America? Many of us have spent more than $10 on beer tonight and we still hate people who have nothing. The proud give and the week complain. What would John Wayne and Ronld Ragen do? They may not give away their home but I bet they would give $10

I Googled Hurricaine Katrina and found that 1,863 died. Thats 1,863 in the richest country in the world !!! In Haita, over 100,000 are to believed dead in one of the poorest countries in the world an you people still hate others. I just gave another $10 in in your name. I love the comment by the "anonyyous" @ 7:43 pm asking how much did you give? My bet is nothing! " Not a damn red cent " Only want's to complain but willing to help.

The show was beautiful and thank you to all the celebrities that came out to help and to the people that donated.
It is sad to see the many miserable black hearted people that come on here to post.
It is so clear that they are miserable with their lives and that is too bad.

I hope to be in Haiti next month to help the people over there.

I loved the telethon. Clooney did a great job putting it together. It's great to see that there are still some good people in this world. God bless them and the people of Haiti.

Celibrities know it improves their ratings and probably helps with the guilt they have living their beautiful lives. And once enough celbrities get involved if they don't do it then they actually look bad...god forbid. Oh well, another excuse other than the oscars to get out and network! I am so tired of being told what to think, what to give, what to buy. I give a lot to my own causes and confident my karma is just fine. I know hundreds of people here in America suffering as a result from celebrity worship, government and coporate greed. I have friends and relatives dropping like flies with all the poison the corporations put in our food, losing their homes to the greedy banks, their lives in complete turmoil and the american dream shattered. We are on the verge of a major catastrophy here in our homeland, middle america is colapsing. It is time to think for ourselves, stop getting side tracked with everything everyone else wants you to do for their interest. Are we "people" or are we "sheaple"? My heart goes out to those in Haidi, I am sending a prayer that God my give them the strenth with the people there in Haiti to overcome this adversity and rise. The power of prayer does work. I would donate old clothes, free labor and blankets but only if I were there, but I am not and of course and we were just told NOT to send anything but money .....hm hm. I wonder how much will finally reach the people anyway...it does create alot of government jobs though. It also makes them indebted to us as a country so that we can go and drill over there not only on the island but conveniently in the waters of the coast..hm hm. If it makes me a bad person for not donating then shame on me...bad bad me.But I just think that there are other more important things for me to be involved in.But I am blogging because again, I am so sick and tired of being told what I am supposed to think, feel, do it always seems things are just shoveled into our faces and we are supposed to always just open wide....always on everyone elses agenda. There are so many tragedies in the world always ongoing, before this after this as we speak. Not to mention the biggest one to come yet.....Yup us, the American middle class millions of us. Do you think they will have a telethon for us, why don't we have a telethon asking all the rich and famous to text us with donations. If they gave each of a sum of money we could all pay for our houses in cash and plant a garden and grow our own food...oops, that wouldn't work because then the government wouldn't earn tax on our food and the rich wouldn't earn interest. Naw, that won't work.

I have an observation and thought about the current situation in Haiti.

Observation:
The earthquakes in Haiti have been devastating. For over a week we have watched the horror and misery brought by the 7.0 earthquake and aftershocks. Crumbled buildings, dead and dying bodies in the street, the misery of thirst and hunger, displacement, fear of continued destruction and medical emergencies without sufficient medical supplies and doctors. Our wallets have opened and nations of the world have scrambled to bring humanitarian aid. We rightfully feel horror, sorrow, compassion and grief for these suffering people.

Thought:
It occurred to me these images of suffering and devastation brought on by nature’s fury could easily be a snapshot from the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan during the Iraq wars and current Afghanistan siege by the US and other nations. Crumbled buildings, dead and dying bodies in the streets, the misery of thirst and hunger, displacement, fear of continued destruction and medical emergencies without sufficient medical supplies and doctors. However, there was and is not an outpouring of humanitarian aid to these people like what we see currently with Haiti. Perhaps the world thinks they are the ‘enemy.’

Think about it. The difference here is that instead of nature bringing the destruction, it is us bringing this destruction in an arbitrary war. We are not shown TV coverage of these wars, so when you look at the TV coverage and see the images of horror and suffering in Haiti think of what we are doing to mostly innocent civilians in the Middle East. Is this honorable war? Is there such a thing? Suffering does not take political sides.

If US citizens truly feel compassion for suffering people, they need to realize they are indirectly enabling more suffering. Demand the US government stop this arbitrary war in the Middle East and bring our troops home. Realize, on the one hand we are a nation of compassion and equality, but on the other hand we are a blitzkrieg of death and destruction. There is something wrong with this picture.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
