Gerard Butler Completes Rehab, Rep Confirms

After it was reported that Gerard Butler had checked himself into a rehabilitation center for substance-abuse issues on Friday, it appears he has already completed treatment for his addition.
The Bounty Hunter star's rep said in a statement:
- "Gerard has completed a successful course of treatment and has returned home in good health. We will not be making any further comment at this time."
The 42-year-old actor checked himself into the Betty Ford center three weeks ago, after battling a growing dependency on prescription drugs, as the result of an injury from the action flick 300, TMZ reports.
Butler's issues began in 2006, and grew worse when he suffered from an accident on the set of his latest film, Of Men and Mavericks. The Scottish actor had also "developed issues" with cocaine, but his primary concern was the prescription drugs.
We wish Gerard the best on his road to recovery!
Butler once told The Red Bulletin on problems with alcohol abuse, "I used to drink until I couldn't remember anything. I was just mad for it and on a death wish. It was madness."
