The hunky Scottish actor and star of action flicks like 300 and Dracula 2000, as well as sensitive indie flicks like Dear Frankie (a fave) showed off his range at a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department fundraiser Thursday night.
I don't know whether to run away from him or give him a hug!
Although if you've seen his shirtless scenes, I think we all know I'd rather give him a hug!

Ewan McGregor and Craig Ferguson are Scottish. So is James McEvoy. But Gerard has this really thick accent so you can hardly understand what he says. He spits when he talks and he sounds like he has some kind of speech defect. I think he earns enough $$$ that he should take some speech coaching or something. He needs to control his accent.

Women have put their faith in a man who’s only talent is to repeat lines given to him and look hot. Truly if it wasn’t for his looks and mimic skills and genetics (or ability to get to the gym-unlike many American‘s) --he’s be waiting tables for tips like all the other actors wanna be.

Unlike a lot of other Hollywood actors - Gerard Butler is very talented and is a really nice and funny guy who appreciates where he's come from and where he is. He shares his celebrity in lots of various charities. He's a real down to earth person and frankly doesn't care what people think of him.
He has good business sense and has started his own production company. I wish him every success along with a hugh crowd of other women that have been totally devoted to him for years and will continue to be for many more.
Hey, looks are in the eye of the beholder - whatever. Did he get where he is on his looks, probably. That's part of acting. Is he gay - no. I know two women who slept w/him before he was famous, & I know a gay man who has been his friend for yrs who says he is absolutely not gay. Stop claiming he is gay b/c you want him to be. Why should he "control" his accent? Do you control yours? He's Scottish. He "controls" it when he's paid to. As the paying public that's all we should care about. Christian Bale, Sylvester Stallone and others have speech impediments. So what? And, sorry, but I doubt highly that he'd be waiting tables for tips if it weren't for his looks. He was an attorney in Scotland, pres of his univ law club, who graduated @ the top of his class, & worked for the queen's solicitors. He's no dummy, no matter how silly he tries to make himself look for popular US media consumption. Pls get past the notion that actors are idiots. He might not be the happy person he is today, but waiting tables? Prob not.

Gerard Butler is genius, gorgeous, super talented, sweet spirited, kind, generous. Anyone who doesn't know that is to be pitied, or is jealous, like Alex above, and stupid like Jo Jo. He's not gay or bi, he is devout Catholic and trained to restrain, Go get a clue, people. There are still some "nice" people left in the world. Not many, but some, like Gerry.
