Gisele posted the following message on her blog:
- "My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best."
Gisele had her first child with hubby Tom Brady back in December, and she credits breastfeeding to getting her model body back in shape for photo shoots just months after she gave birth.
Hmm, what do you think about all this?

Comments
i think she is a total bi%ch and is just retracking her comments because her managers probably made her.
I doubt it was "just" breastfeeding that got her back to her pre-baby body that quick. A lot of it is genetics and excersice.. before, during and after pregnancy. She is a complete moron. It's fine to have your opinion, but just be aware that so does everyone else. You don't say something flame-worthy and think you will get away with it. It's the oldest Mommy war.. bottle vs breast.. we are all correct.. we do what works for us as individuals. If we Mommies supported each other instead of judge each other, life would be a lot easier for Mommies!!!
Any mother that thinks pharmaceutical baby formulas are better than natural breast feeding is not only an idiot but doesn't need to be having a child in the first place. Clearly they will pass on their stupid gene to the kid. We have been surviving thousands of years on breast milk before pharmaceutical companies were ever even thought of..FFS thats why girls lactate to begin with..tards
Anonymous @ 3:21 PM: congratulations on being the biggest asshole on this comment board. it's a mother's choice. and no woman should feel judged simply because she either cannot or does not breastfeed.
@Christi: i read the whole interview ( did you? ) and she wasn`t judging anyone. she has an opinion and since she is famous of course it gets more attention especially when it`s taken out of context. if you read the whole interview and you don`t have a rage against her you would have seen that she didn`t mean no harm and she is not a moron. i don`t see any judgment in her words. she is very passionate especially about her son but i doubt that makes her a moron. she shouldn`t have generalized her opinion about breastfeeding. i used that expression `should be or should be against the law` a million times to emphasize my opinion and nobody ever got offended even if they disagreed with me. she is in the spotlight so she should be more careful with the choice of word she uses but that doesn`t make her a moron.
Not everyone can breastfeed. Some people have introverted nipples or lack proper amount of nutrition in their milk.
Breast is always best. If milk is coming out of your boobs then let the baby drink it. It is a mother's choice but why would u give your newborn processed food. I wanted to give my baby the best so I made a huge sacrifice and breastfed and pumped. Seems like the all I did all day was that but it was worth it. It's one of the hardest thing I ever did. Definitely not for the weak.
5:13 I didn't breastfeed that didn't mean I didn't want the best for my baby. There are tons of different reasons why someone might not breastfeed. Even if it was simply because I didn't want to. Ever notice that the women who breast feed talk like they care more for their kids than those that don't.
I don't feel bad for her at all. She could have easily said that she believes in breastfeeding and that women should be encouraged to do so, but she didn't, she made an ignorant comment about thinking there she be a law because she's an idiot.
Breastfeeding is a good thing, but if women can't do it, or for some reason don't wish to do so that is absolutely their decision. Any idiot who thinks they are bad mothers because of this is clearly insensitive. Women shouldn't be made to feel guilty about not breastfeeding, because it is always THEIR CHOICE.
Gisele's problem is that she thinks too highly of herself. She isn't the best mother in the entire world just because she is rich and famous and she needs to get her nose out of everyone else's business.
all of a sudden, she is an expert in motherhood....please dont be so ignorant....i am pretty sure everything is done for her...i cant imagine her saying all this about breastfeeding when it sags your breast and god forbid this would happen to this barbie!! no wonder Leo DiCaprio never married her....Brady should have stayed with the mother of his first child...
You act like you know so much more than whats already out there.shut up keep your comments 2 yourself and family maybe your stupid accent makes you sound more ignorant than you already are.Tell Tommy how u feel we dont really care what you have to say...
This moron and her "globalist laws" can go to hell.
Hollywood loves to prop her up for her globalist views. STFU
My neighbor wasn't able to breastfeed because she lost both breasts in a double mastectomy. So, I guess if it were a law, then she would be breaking it? Some people don't produce milk, some have something wrong, others are on medications that come through in breast milk. Many years ago, they had wet nurses. Sometimes babies died when they couldn't thrive. Gisele is an ignorant woman who has someone do everything but wipe her arse for her. I have more parenting experience in one pinky than she does in her whole body.
Typical liberal wants govt to intervene in every aspect of our lives....
It's true. Breastfeeding should be a world wide law. Children's health and happiness improves with better access to breastfeeding from healthy breasts and properly flowing milk supply from the nipples; this is a matter of child rights not woman rights! The children have rights to real breast feeding milk, and the children have the right to refuse the powder formula Walmart crap!!!
Giselle knows what she's talking about!!!!
Don't forget, she also claims her baby is potty trained....
This horse-faced twit acts like she's the first woman to have ever breastfed. With her stupid accent and unintelligent blabbing it's comes to no big surprise that her publicist is the one who wrote this articulate "explanation." Gisele's English is atrocious and her accent is nauseating.
Remember how she referred to her stepson as "IT"?
Some of you are so stupid. BREAST MILK CAN TRANSMIT DISEASES LIKE HIV! HAVE YOU EVEN CONSIDERED THIS!?
Oh and you know what else? There are a TON of medications that can be transfered to a baby through breastfeeding! If you are taking pills for whatever reason and breastfeed you risk transferring those over to your child!
All of you tards who don't even think about things like this are probably going to be terrible parents.
I don't think breastfeeding vs. formula feeding is anyway to define how you are/will be as a parent. There are PLENTY of way people F-up their kids. Breastfeeding can be very difficult for women and as some of you have stated above some women can't breast feed (mastectomy, medications, disease, inability to produce milk, etc.) Everyone just needs to take a breath and realize each situation is different. Gisele's comments are just unfortunate and sad.
she just confirmed what a bi*ch she really is.....and a homewrecker too!!!
"she credits breastfeeding to getting her model body back in shape for photo shoots just months after she gave birth."
Yeah I'm sure it had nothing to do with working out practically every day after giving birth, thanks to a nanny watching her newborn! I loathe this woman, she is just so unlikeable and smug. Some might say she's very pretty but for me her personality just makes her ugly. Give me a model with a little humility and modesty anyday over these jumped up know-it-alls. Typical first time celebrity smug mum, bears no similarity to normal women without endless funds to hire nannies and such. *ugh*
Oh, Gisele,
When you made your comment about breastfeeding, you weren't sitting around in a small group with other mothers "sharing your opinions." No, you were being interviewed for a magazine article which was going to be published nationwide. You should know by now to be careful in how you express your opinions in interviews. Just stick to looking pretty, posing in magazines and keeping your mouth shut.
I have two children. I tried to breastfeed both of them; however, for whatever reason, my body wasn't producing enough to sustain proper nutrition for either baby. Even the doctor said it was time to switch to formula. Breastfeeding is an important option, but it's not for everyone. To mandate it as a law is ridiculous.
what a total cu&%!!!! maybe she will feel different if the next time she is pregnant she is put on bed rest, maybe has an emergency c-section. the baby is premature and stuck in icu for 5 months and maybe possibly suffers post partum (unless maybe that also doesn't exsist in her world)- then she can come and tell the public how she feels about this new motherhood being such a breeze.....go to hell bit$% immigrant slut.
@7:26 am
I don't recall her wrecking any home, but i do recall a certain man trapper.
I see a lot of jealousy, why are women taking everything so personally? She is clearly stating her own experience about breastfeeding, not guiding anyone.
