Giuliana Rancic Undergoes Successful Double Mastectomy

Giuliana Rancic underwent a successful double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery last night for her breast cancer, according to E! Online.
Husband Bill Rancic told the site, "G is doing really well ... Her surgery lasted about four hours and the doctors were very pleased with the result. She had a little bit of pain through the night but is feeling much better this morning and was cracking jokes." Giuliana added, "I want to thank all the viewers and fans for their support and prayers. The tweets and notes have not gone unnoticed. I am very grateful."
The E! News host was diagnosed with breast cancer three months ago, and she recently told The Today Show's Ann Curry that after some careful consideration, the radical procedure was the only option for her. "For me, it was important to get the cancer out," she said. "That's what I wanted to do, just get it out ... At the end, to be honest, all it came down to was just choosing to live, and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life."

Many women have had mastectomies - why does she think she is so special.
her body is probably stressed from deliberately being underweight. Stress brings on cancer.
Why was she going from show to show.? Enough with the attention whoring.
Learned lessons. Don't stress out your body. Everything in moderation, balance and positivity. Too low a weight puts women in peril, too high same.
Don't mess with nature!

I'm so happy to learn that G is doing well - she is a fighter and an inspiration - ignorant comments are from ignorant people - remember until you walk in my shoes - you have no idea what my path is like. Everyone has the chance to be whatever they want to be - she chose the entertainment field - if you think that it is easy - think again. She is using her celebrity status to educate women - Katy Couric did the same with colon cancer and made many people think about being tested. Not everyone knows about these diseases unless they touch your lives. I'm so happy to hear that G is doing well - sorry that I missed her interview. She is a brave woman to face cancer head on - yes, lots of people do it everyday but that doesn't minimize it.
