We French people have no freedom of speech like Americans. We can just sit back and watch this clown spending tax payers' money and enjoying high life. We have no forum to speak out. If this happens in America, he would be crucified in the media. Here in France, government controls the media. Everyday we see him having fun with his ex model wife on TV, we don't see him go to work or do something constructive for the country. The unemployment in France is 10%. We pay 50% of our income tax. When you pay 50% of your income tax, forget about sophistication or being classy. I would rather not live with the sophisticate or classy stereo type but live in a country with less tax and more jobs and more freedom of speaking out.

I'm not sure why its considered classy and sophisticated to get pregnant. Actually all kinds of people do it all the time. If you're unmarried when you become pregnant you're called trash if you're white and ghetto if you're black. But if you're the head of state you're classy and sophisticated.

Linn is 100% right on!!! First live in both countries - US and France for minimum of 3 years - then decide. I know Linn is absolutely correct. The problem is most French are too afraid to leave their country to find out what else is out there. So the pity other countries like Russia while concluding that France is a "free country." Well - let me ask you have you ever lived in the US to know truly the difference?? The difference in France is that you can live under the bridge without having any credit!! French homeowndership is a whopping 54%....that gives a lot of hope, especially if you're living in a box of an HLM. Fear not life - live outside to know the difference. French live in fear that in the US they're going to get shot, live under a bridge, be refused at the hospital. That's great cause the last thing the US needs is more immigrants.

She was born wealthy, became a model, then a singer. She is probably classically trained in music. Her mother is a pianist and her step father a composer.
