Get Ready For The Grammys!

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards are coming at you LIVE this Sunday and we can't wait to see the performances and find out the winners!
First of all, I'm so psyched to see Beyonce and Taylor Swift sing! After "the incident" at the VMAs, it should be pretty entertaining to see Kanye West's facial expression when they perform. Can't wait!
The country cutie earned eight nominations while Beyonce leads the pack with ten. Kanye himself has six noms and Lady Gaga - who burst onto the music scene AND the fashion scene this year - has five.
Good luck to Gaga! It's been over a year and I still can't get "Poker Face" outta my head.

The Grammys are bullshit. I'm tired of Beyonce, Swift, Black-Eyed Peas, Rihanna and the same people over and over and over again. American Idol has proven that there are many, many people in the U.S. that can sing well, not just folks that the record industry parades in front of us all of the time. When I go to youtube or myspace I sometimes find really fine musicians that put their blood sweat and tears into their art. The Grammies are concerned with who is the biggest selling "artist" (God that word is cheapened) and money-making packages. And let's have music tonight and not any shock crap pseudo sex act like Adam Lambert did at an awards show. For the most part, award shows are a dime a dozen and the Grammies are an out of date show but don't look for great music or musicians there. Some of the best musicians are on the web.
