Old People Win Grammys ...

Not that we don't love him, but Robert Plant (???) won FIVE Grammy Awards tonight, as did Alison Krauss who won in all the categories for which she was nominated.
Okay, so maybe the big winners aren't exactly people WE talk about every day, but the performers were ... I HOPE you caught at least some of these amazing acts: Radiohead with the University of Southern California marching band; Kanye and Estelle; Justin Timberlake and T.I.; Buddy Guy, B.B. King and John Mayer; Jennifer Hudson; Coldplay and Jay-Z, Chris Martin and Kanye, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift (whoa!), the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder (what?), Katy Perry (do we HAVE to hear her horrible live version of I Kissed A Girl AGAIN?!), Carrie Underwood (whose legs looked AMAZING!), Sugarland, Adele, and Kid Rock.
Rihanna and Chris Brown backed out of the line-up at the last minute after Chris was accused of domestic violence and booked at an LAPD station. A Grammy rep told reporters just hours ahead of the show that Rihanna would not perform and that she was "slightly bruised."
But the show went on 'Lil Wayne went on to pick up four prizes including best rap album. Coldplay won three awards including the trophy for song of the year for Viva la Vida and best rock album.
The U.K.'s Adele won best new artist. Kanye West won two awards.
So anyway, you can check out the full list of winners here - Grammy.com.
You think Rihanna was set to win and her statue was pulled at the last minute when we all learned she wouldn't be at the show???

WTF does AGE have to do with MUSIC ?
youth doesn't make a person talented , it makes them young lmaooo , so stupid !
Plant was out of left field, but whatever. Nice to see some awards Shitney couldn't buy and was completely snubbed on! Good for them!
yeah the winners aren't people YOU talk about every day. they aren't fecked up slags and tossers/
You really should listen to the music before trashing it. Alison Krauss is a great artist and Raising Sand is a really good cd. I was surprised by the pairing with Robert Plant but it works.
X17, your writers and owners have the most shllow view of the world. It's no wonder the interest and support of this site this site has gone down similar to a GW popularity poll.
Saw Robert Plant & Alison Krauss at New Orleans Jazz Fest last April and they were awesome! Sheryl Crow, who was humbled to follow their act, gave a shout out to Robert Plant by closing her act with Black Dog.
