As far as how old you should be to have kids... my parents were in the 40's when I was born, and I lost both of them at early ages, when they were in their 60's. Do I wish I had them longer? Of course. Do I resent them for having me that late in life? Absolutely not! I treasure the time I had with them. Does that mean that I think it's OK for people in their 50's and 60's to start having families? NO! Drives me nuts... I personally think it's very selfish. However, every situation is different. I try not to be too quick to judge people, because I know what a joy it is to have kids, having 3 myself.

Hell, even in her No Doubt albums she sang about how she can't wait to be a Mom, and that was years before Kingston came along. She's obviously a devoted mom, no matter what her age is.
