It may seem like Gwyneth Paltrow has the perfect life, but the Oscar winner recently revealed that he suffered from postpartum depression shortly after giving birth to son Moses in April 2006.

"I couldn't connect with my son the way that I had with my daughter [Apple, now 7] and I couldn't understand why. I couldn't connect to anyone. I felt like a zombie. I felt very detached," Paltrow said on Thursday's premiere episode of Lifetime's The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet.

Thankfully, Gwynnie's hubby, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, helped her realize what the problem was.

"I just didn't know what was wrong with me. I couldn't figure it out. It never occurred to me. My husband actually said, 'Something's wrong. I think you have postnatal depression.' I was mortified. 'No I don't!' And then I started researching what it was and the symptoms and I was like, 'Oh, yes I do,'" she added.

"We think that it makes us bad mothers or we didn't do it right, but it's like, we're all in this together," Paltrow continued. "I never understand why mothers judge other mothers, like, 'What do you mean you didn't breastfeed? What do you mean you didn't do this?' It's like, 'Can't we all just be on each other's side?' It's so hard anyway. Can't we all help each other get through it? There's a shame attached to it because if you say, 'I had a baby and I couldn't connect to the baby,' it's like, 'What is wrong with you?'"

The Country Strong actress admits "you never totally get rid of it, but that's why I talk about it, because even the awareness of it started to diminish it. because I didn't feel like I'm dying or I'm crazy -- period. It's like, 'Oh, this is a thing. This is a real thing and these are the symptoms and I have them all.'"

The always-stylish Miss Paltrow looked effortlessly chic in a white blazer, piles of necklaces, jeans and sexy high heels as she headed to dinner in NYC, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Oscar winner is gearing up to go on a worldwide tour to promote her newest flick The Avengers, which hits theaters May 4, and she'll also be starring in Lifetime’s new series The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet which premieres today. What a busy girl!

A pregnant Reese Witherspoon, the London-based Gwyneth Paltrow, the reclusive Kristen Stewart and the super-busy supermodel mom Miranda Kerr all put their schedules on hold to support their favorite fashion designer Stella McCartney and her dad Paul at a party in her Beverly Hills boutique Friday night.

So just how was this father-daughter duo teaming up? Stella hosted a party to celebrate dad Paul's new music video for My Valentine. The black-and-white mini-film, directed by Paul himself, was shown in three versions -- one staring Johnny Depp, one staring Natalie Portman and another that merged the two together.

McCartney's BFF, Gwyneth Paltrow stunned in Stella's vegan booties, jeans and a tuxedo blazer. She met up with hubby Chris Martin inside. Coldplay's playing at Coachella this weekend, so the couple is taking a break from London to be on the Left Coast.

Reese covered her baby bump in a stunning black dress and sky-high black pumps. Meanwhile, Miranda wore the "it" dress of the spring -- the Stella swirl dress in black with an off-white blazer.

But beyond the fashion, it was the film that brought these A-listers together. Check out Paul's video -- it's a winner!

Gwyneth Paltrow is firing back at the New York Times after they penned an article claiming that she wrote her cookbook My Father's Daughter with some help from chef Julia Turshen.

In an article on cookbook ghostwriters posted last week, the NY Times noted that Turshen "is writing a second cookbook with Gwyneth Paltrow after their collaboration on My Father's Daughter."

The Oscar winner wrote on her Facebook page, "Love @nytimes dining section but this weeks facts need checking. No ghost writer on my cookbook, I wrote every word myself."

Last night Gwyneth Paltrow hosted Women In Film and Perrier-Jouet Champagne's fifth annual pre-Oscar reception at Cecconi's in West Hollywood, and guests included Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Gwyn's mom Blythe Danner.

While hanging out at the MAC Cosmetics table, Selena told friends how excited she was to meet the stars from her favorite movie of the year, The Help, so when Octavia Spencer arrived to the bash, Selena jumped up to introduce herself. The ladies chatted for a bit and Octavia later told Justin Bieber's ladylove, "You're so beautiful from the inside out and it shows. You just shine". Awww, loves it!

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, and we can't believe how hot she looks! Sure, the 39-year-old Oscar winner has always been a stunner, but after looking at these photos, it seems like she's only getting better with age.

Though she admits to getting "little things, like lasers" and regular facials, Gwyn claims she wants to age naturally and gracefully. “I’ll take my wrinkles," she says. "I don’t like the Botox thing."

As far as her diet, Gwyn is currently on a detox ("no gluten, no dairy, no sugar," she says), but when she's not cleaning out her system, she indulges herself. “I eat whatever I want," she says. "I like bread and cheese and wine, and that makes my life fun and enjoyable.”

Gwyn also chats about her family life, and while she makes it clear that infidelity is not part of her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, she will often look the other way when it comes to her friends. "The older I get, the more open-minded I get, the less judgmental I get ... I have friends who I love and admire who have had an affair. When I was younger, I would have said he's a terrible person or she's a terrible person. But who made these laws?"

Gwyn continues, "I think you do fall in and out of love and you just keep going, and every time you go through a really difficult phase, you rediscover something new and it just gets better. We've been married for more than eight years now, and we're still into it." Hmm, any idea who her adulterous friends could be?

Chris Martin and his band Coldplay stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss their new album Mylo Xyloto ... and their personal relationships.

When asked about wife Gwyneth Paltrow, Martin's conversation with Ellen went as follows:

Ellen: You don’t talk about Gwyneth a lot?

Chris: No.

Ellen: But you have a great relationship and two precious kids. And we love Gwyneth. She’s been here many times.

Chris: She’s been a great beard for me now, for 10 years.

Ellen: Is that right? It’s not really a real relationship? She just pretends that she’s your wife.

Chris: Yeah, it’s hard to believe."
