Gwyneth Paltrow Battled Postpartum Depression

In the May issue of Vogue, Gwyneth Paltrow discusses her struggle with postpartum depression after giving birth to her second child, Moses, in 2006.
"I felt really out of my body," Paltrow told Vogue. "I felt really disconnected. I felt really down...I felt pessimistic.” She goes on to state, “I didn’t know I had it until after it was over...I just didn’t know what was wrong with me."
In addition to Moses, 2, Paltrow, 35, has a 4 year old daughter, Apple with hubby and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
Kudos to Gwyneth for publicly talking about an issue like post-partum depression - several other Hollywood moms, including Brooke Shields have discussed their struggles with the illness as well.

No doubt it was all of America's crass commercialism that caused the depression. So she went right out and got herself a 3 million dollar a year contract with Estee Lauder to make herself feel better. Because nothing says how opposed you are to mindless american capitalism then getting a multi-million dollar cotnract to put makeup on your face.
