Gwyneth Paltrow On Her Marriage: "It's Hard Being With Someone For A Long Time"

Gwyneth Paltrow is opening up in the latest issue of Elle magazine, and she talks about rumors of a split between her and hubby Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay.
We haven't seen the two out in public together in about a year, and rumors of a split are rampant. Says Gwyn:
- “Sometimes it’s hard being with someone for a long time. We go through periods that aren’t all rosy ... you never know what’s going to happen. If, God forbid, we were ever not to be together, I respect him so much as the father of my children. ... You can never be relaxed or smug and think, I’ve got this thing."
Interesting. Gwyneth and Chris married in 2003, having met only about a year before that. They have two children, Apple and Moses.
Gwyn also spoke about why she launched the website GOOP, saying:
- "“Where is the great bar with organic wine? Where do I get a bikini wax in Paris? People know that I know that…"

Says Gwyn:
- “What I love is inspiring people. People come up to me and say, ‘I want to have two kids and wear a bathing suit and not feel terrible about myself. I see how hard you work and it makes me feel like I can do that too.’â€
As for whether she'll be recording her own album, Gwyn says she's gotten advice from close friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.
- “Beyonce and Jay—they think that I should just go do it by myself. That I should go…in a studio and see what happens. And if it’s good, do it. And if it’s not, don’t. So that’s probably what I’ll do.â€
