Halle Berry Says Her Court Issues With Gabriel Aubry "Were Never About Fighting" For Nahla

Halle Berry is opening up about her custody battle with ex Gabriel Aubry.
The dispute originally began after Halle wanted Nahla to be with her in New York while she filmed a movie in the Big Apple. Aubry, on the other hand, wanted the little girl to stay with him in Los Angeles.
The Oscar-winning actress has been spending the past few weeks at an L.A. County Courthouse with her ex hammering out a custody agreement over 3-year-old daughter Nahla. The couple has reportedly come to an agreement ... and the results are positive.
Berry, 44, tell Extra:
- "When there's a child involved, it's a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues."

seen Gabriel twice around town with nyla and both times he being a great father, had her on his shoulders at Bev. Center and then last saturday at santa monica mall carrying her while she slept rubbing her back....and there was no pap's around, just glad they are working it out.... beautiful child xx

Agree with first comment. PR spin to protect an image. Your rarely see pics of Gabriel with Nahla now that they've split but the last one I saw showed she obviously loves her dad and vice versa.

She tried to control his time with the child. HE went to court, as he should and had the judge made the decision on visitation. Seems like the system worked out for all. Wonder what Gabriel has to say.

Her lying ploy to the media about Nahla being terrified of her father didn't fool anyone. So now she's doing PR to try and repair her image. She needs to cut out the crazy and act like a mature adult. Perhaps this latest statement of hers is a start to avoid being labelled a Kim Basinger clone.
