Halle Berry Helps To Prevent Domestic Violence

Posted on Thu Jun 17, 2010 04:00 PM PDT

We heart celebs doing good! Halle Berry visited the Jenesse Center in Inglewood earlier this afternoon - the 30-year-old facility works to offer shelter and counseling to women and children victimized by domestic violence. Halle has assisted the center for years, helping to raise money for the program and is even featured on its website...

The Oscar-winner herself has been very open about her personal experiences with domestic violence. Kudos to Halle for surviving and paying it forward.

Kisses!

Hallie's experience with the domestic violence must have been pretty bad. It is something you never forget. It is very traumatic, and can leave you mentally scarred forever as well as physically if you leave through it.
I for one, never reported it. That is the worst thing you can do. You are not doing the guy a favor at all, he needs help.
Standing ovation to Hallie for what she does. I lived through my experience, and believe me, I would never ever let anyone put their hands on me again, or even look like they would want to. That would be the end of that relationship right then and there. No more second chances.
A second chance, and the next time you could be dead.
Hallie is wonderful. I hope that her scars are lessened, and that she forgives. It does not mean you have to be around that person. But to forgive, will help you to heal. But don't go back for more.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
