Halle Gets Permission From Judge To Take Nahla To New York, Plans To Star In New Year's Eve Afterall

Halle Berry spent the day inside a Los Angeles courtroom to ask the judge if she could take her daughter Nahla to New York while she films New Year's Eve ... and she was granted permission.
Berry's attorney, Neal Hersh, released the following statement:
- "We are pleased the judge took the time to deal with this very imminent and important issue. The judge read a great deal of paperwork and gave us time to argue. Halle is very pleased with the judge's order."
As for Nahla's dad Gabriel, he has withdrawn his custody petition, but reports claim he will fight for Nahla via a paternity action.
Halle's original role in New Year's Eve went to Katherine Heigl, and even though Ms. Berry will now be starring in the ensemble film, she will be playing a different role.
