The boy wizard has officially cast his spell on moviegoers - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 just scored the biggest midnight opening ever, earning $43.5 million.

The late-night opening stole the number one spot from another cult fave, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which earned $30 million during its midnight opening.

The franchise has always been known for breaking records, and it certainly kept up that trend with its final flick. The weekend has barely begun, but Deathly Hallows Part 2 has already generated over $100 million worldwide.

As if that weren't enough, every 3D midnight show was sold out and IMAX theaters broke records, earning more than $2 million in sales.

Talk about "mischief managed."

Now it's time to take bets on how many people called in sick Friday morning (as if Carmaggedon wasn't a good enough excuse for Los Angeles HP fans!).

We're going to miss Harry Potter on the big screen!

Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliff and the rest of the Harry Potter cast turned out for the very last NYC premiere of the series, on Monday.

Potter fans flooded Lincoln Center to catch a glimpse of their fave wizards one more time, and the kids definitely dressed to impress.

Emma Watson looked stunning in a gold Bottega Veneta dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Radcliff, who is currently appearing in Broadway's' How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, looked dapper in a black suit and grey shirt -- but did he forget to wash his hair?

Earlier that day, Watson wowed in another dazzling dress, this time a sexy silver Balmain number with some drool-worthy heels, for an appearance on Letterman. .

David actually asked the Harry Potter star about Daniel Radcliffe's recent interview in which he admits he drank on the set of the series, but Emma stays mum!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final installment in the wildly successful film franchise, is set for release on July 15, 2011.

And here's the first official poster with the tagline, "It All Ends." We can't wait to see Harry's final showdown against Voldemort!

The first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows took home the top prize at the box office for the second big weekend in a row - Thanksgiving weekend!

Early estimates show that HP earned $50.3 million while Tangled came in second with $49.1 million. So close!

Overall, Potter has raked in $220.4 million at the domestic box office after only ten days in theaters.

And that's just part one of the epic finale!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows took in a whopping $125 million at the domestic box office this weekend.

The film roughly cost $250,000,000 to make, but I'm sure it'll make a strong profit by the end of its theatrical release.

HP took in $61.2 million on Friday, beating the last film's - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - record of $58.2 million on its opening day.

Whoops! The first 36-minutes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 leaked online early today, according to TorrentFreak.

The source of the leak has not been identified at this time, but Warner Bros. says it is not taking the matter lightly. "This constitutes a serious breach of copyright violation and theft of Warner Bros. property," the studio tells THR in a statement. "We are working actively to restrict and/or remove copies that may be available. Also, we are vigorously investigating this matter and will prosecute those involved to the full extent of the law."

Last year Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was one of the most-pirated movies with more than 8 million illegal downloads, but the film also grossed $934 million worldwide.
