Do some research on Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin. They've talked publicly about not wanting to be photographed together. They walk red carpets separately. They avoid being together in public sometimes to the point that the gossips have reported more than one that their marriage was on the rocks when it wasn't.
Rachel Bilson tries to keep her relationships out of the public eye, except when it's convenient for her to hint about it. Like when she needs publicity for her fashion line.
