Hayden Panettiere covers the new issue of Glamour Magazine, and the 23-year-old Nashville honey chats with the mag about how she's handled her fame over the years and how her hit ABC show has given her another shot in the music industry.

On staying grounded despite growing up in what she calls “the Messy Generation” in Hollywood, Hayden says, “It’s not that I didn’t go to clubs, have my picture taken. I was 16 years old. I was experimenting just like any kid. But I had friends and family around me to yank me back when I was heading in the wrong direction. Every turn that I made, somebody was waiting for me to fall on my face and catch it on film. The thing that really saved me was that I still had that healthy fear of my parents—I still had a midnight curfew at 18!”

When asked about her role as country pop tart Juliette Barnes on Nashville, Hayden says, “I don’t look at it as a second chance; I look at it as where I’m supposed to be. Even if I’m not perfect at it, even if my voice takes work, this is where my heart is. People used to ask me, ‘What kind of music do you like?’ I’d say, ‘Country.’ Then they’d go, ‘But you’re from New York.’ I thought people would think I was trying to be something I’m not. But the industry of country music is unbelievably accepting. The fans are unreal. There’s no judgment; it’s just, Let’s all get together in a massive backyard and have a barbecue and drink and have fun.”

Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko got back together in January, and this time around, the duo are reportedly engaged!

"Very few people know, and she isn't wearing her ring publicly yet," a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the wedding will likely take place this summer.

Though the Nashville star and the Ukranian boxer have not officially confirmed the news, they've been packing on the PDA in public lately, so it's only a matter of time before we get a peek at her rock!

The couple started dating in 2009, but split in May of 2011, and Hayden quickly rebounded with NFL star Scotty McKnight in June of 2011, but their relationship fizzled last year.

Hayden's rep has yet to respond to our request for a comment on the engagement.

She's single, she's hot and she's on a hit show, so why not?

So what did Ms. P have to say about her role as a scheming country diva on Nashville? "I kept apologizing after my first scene with Connie [Britton], saying, 'I don't mean it!'" She added, "It's fun. You get permission to be openly nasty and get away with it." And that's why we love her on the show!

Hard work, indeed. The twosome have been together since June of last year.
