Hayden Returns To Japan To Save The Dolphins

Hayden Panettiere and her boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko visited the Japanese fishing village of Taiji today, where they are aiming to put an end to the town's annual dolphin slaughter hunt.
The couple, along with several environmental activists tried to meet with the mayor and representatives from the local fisheries union, but they were denied entry to Taiji town hall. The Heroes star told reporters, “We are trying to peacefully come up with better ideas as to how to generate income and utilize the nature here. We’ve been to Taiji before and it’s a beautiful place with beautiful wildlife.”
Hayden added that she would “love to be a spokesperson” for the town if they stop killing the creatures. Let's hope she can make a difference over there!

you have to understand the long long culture behind it. Is it only about dolphins? how about Turkey? what about deer? what about other animals? maybe the lack of the rich history in this country, people would never understand.

I agree with 10:06am. Why don't these people try to put an end to killing chicken or cows or pigs? They wouldn't have to go all the way to Japan for that. I guess dolphins are cuter and the donations they get from this must be awesome.
I agree with 10:06 also. They eat dolphins there. I agree that there may be a less brutal way of killing them but that could also be said for cows, chickens, etc. Many people in North America grew up eating horse meat but now it is virtually unheard of. Don't be so quick to judge

if you want to talk about "animal rights", what about human rights??? You might not know, but those dolphins do harm to fish people catch there to live. Dolphin look cute, so do cows, chickens... if you want to talk about animal rights, all other animals have equal rights, but people just ignorantly think cows and chickens are ok to be eaten. Hayden or whoever just go to Japan without knowing all the background of their culture and pretend that she is the "hero", think again. She is too immature to know the depth of the culture.
In other countries, some eat cats, some eat dogs, some eat monkey, some eat bears. It is endless. It is DISGUSTING that human talk about animal rights.
Humans are more barbaric than animals. Animals kill each other for survival, humans kill animals and each other for the hell of it.
I love Hayden. And I love her efforts to help stop the slaughtering of whales and dolphins. Those Japanese fisherman are really hardcore so I hope that Hayden is careful.
Hayden is doing a very good job with her boy friend, so best of luck to both of them.
