Every NY TV station has widely reported - might I add after stalking the funeral home with tons of cameras - that the Australian family members never came to NY - they opted to bring Mr. Ledger's body to Los Angeles.

No ONE went to the funeral home for any service or viewing and the body was transported to an undisclosed airport at 4 pm.

There is nothing wrong with being against a movie about gays or being against the homosexual lifestyle. Freedom guarantees the right to believe as the conscience dictates. However, there is something very, very wrong with picketing or disturbing anybody's funeral.

I think Heath Ledger was an amazingly talented and passionate actor and his body of work shows that. He would have been in a small circle of truly wonderful actors had he lived.

I still can't believe his life was cut short. I so wish it was all a bad dream.

My heart goes out to his family and friends and especially his little daughter who will sadly never see her daddy again in this lifetime.

There was no 'funeral' for Heath today. His body was retrieved from a 'funeral' parlour to return home to Perth, Australia.

Heath Ledger is and always will be my favorite actor in the world. I have been looking forward to seeing him as the joker since I saw the coming attractions 3 weeks ago at a movie theater. I am completely heartbroken and I didn't even know him personally, so I can't even begin to imagine how is loved ones are feeling. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that was close to him. Including his beautiful daughter Matilda. Heath was a gorgeous man, and a brilliant actor....I'll miss him forever......

He will be missed by fans and certainly by his family and friends. No one has an unkind word to say about Heath and by all accounts, he was a quiet, down to earth, good man. WHY do the good ones always leave this world early?

I admired Heath for so many different reasons. For the genuine person that he was, for the love he gave to his daughter Matilda and to his family members. Heath was a talented actor with so much to look forward to. It is such a tragedy that he left us at such a young age. You will be missed Heath. RIP
