Heather Locklear Signs Plea Deal In DUI Case

Heather Locklear locklearduidone200.jpg Remember that nasty DUI Locklear was accused of in Santa Barbara back on Sept. 28 and subsequently charged? We'll she got out of it today with a $700 fine and a 12-hour drug education program and three years' probation.

Locklear, through her attorney Blair Berk, agreed to a plea deal today in a Santa Barbara courthouse.

Three years' probation ain't exactly nothin', but probably better than having a DUI on your record!

This is a win win result. The prosecuitor gets a conviction for his merit badge quest and she gets a reasonable deal.

In the future if this case were reviewed a reasonable conclusion would be that the original charges were a very weak case and hard to assure a win but they got their conviction so it was OK to deal.

It is not hard to imagine a hightmare when you consider that this same idiot quest is used to settle felony cases up to and including moderately sickening.
