Jake Gyllenhaal can take us into custody anytime!

We caught up with the hunky star while on the LA set of the upcoming cop drama End of Watch on Tuesday. And while Gyllenhaal may have sacrificed his thick brown mane for that "cue ball" 'do, we still can't get enough of this sexy man in uniform.

In Watch, the actor plays an LAPD officer ... and he really did his homework for the role! Not only did Jake go on several police ride-along missions, he actually witnessed a gang shooting, which resulted in one member being sent to the hospital.

Now that's dedication!

Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest celeb to guest star on Bear Gryll's Man vs. Wild on The Discovery Channel.

Gyllenhaal's episode is the season premiere, and the two will hit up Iceland, showing viewers how to survive in the cold.

Like Will Ferrell before him, Jake seems to be bringing some humor to the survival show. Bear instructs Jake to spell out "help" in the snow, saying: "Make a big letter 'H.'" Jake's response: "Lower case or upper case?"

Tron's Olivia Wilde and the extremely sexy Jake Gyllenhaal are hooking up, according to online reports.

Reports claim the two stars were seen getting "touchy-feely" while hanging at Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont. Witnesses say although the two "weren't making a scene with PDA," there was definitely "flirting going on."

The eyewitness adds that at one point, Jake had Olivia's hand. What a hot visual!

Reps for both actors would not confirm nor deny the report.

Or maybe emails from his attorney regarding the photo of a guy in his undies that various websites alleged was Gyllenhaal? Jake claims its defamatory to say the hunk in tighty-whities is him but we call it HOT! That's not defamation, JG, that's a compliment!

X17online caught up with Jake Gyllenhaal as he left karate class Thursday. Maybe he was training to kick some butt, since the actor is now involved in a legal war of words with several websites over a picture of him that surfaced online.

Gyllenhaal's lawyers are demanding that a picture of what is supposedly him in tighty-white-ies be removed from various websites, including Queerty.com.

The actor's lawyer says:

"...anybody could tell from a cursory examination, this is a fake picture, in which our client's head has been pasted on the body of another person."

Gyllenhaal's lawyers say the pic violates his rights by "portraying him in a false light, violating his right of publicity and constituting a false designation of origin in violation of the Lanham Act."

“Your publication of this fake photo violates many legal rights of our client by, among other things, defaming him."

We're not sure how the photo is defamatory ... that could be hard to prove in court. It's just Jakey in his undies (again, supposedly.) Maybe that's why the sites have yet to remove the pic ...

We wonder what belt he is.

A newly-shorn Jake Gyllenhaal took his dog Atticus for a walk Saturday, looking every bit the part of a cop with his canine sidekick. Gyllenhaal buzzed his head for the upcoming cop drama End of Watch, described as "a gritty cop drama that follows the friendship between longtime partners."

The "partner" is actor Michael Pena in the film directed by David Ayers, who wrote the script for Training Day and S.W.A.T. Can't wait to see Watch on the big screen!

Jake Gyllenhaal stepped out with a newly-shorn 'do on his way to a Mother's Day lunch with producer/screenwriter mamma, and clearly the actor likes the new crop -- he couldn't stop smiling!

The Love and Other Drugs star shaved his lovely head to film the cop drama End Of Watch, which centers on the long-term friendship and partnership between two police officers.

The film is set for a 2013 release. We can't wait to see our fave hottie in action!
