We caught up with the hunky star while on the LA set of the upcoming cop drama End of Watch on Tuesday. And while Gyllenhaal may have sacrificed his thick brown mane for that "cue ball" 'do, we still can't get enough of this sexy man in uniform.
In Watch, the actor plays an LAPD officer ... and he really did his homework for the role! Not only did Jake go on several police ride-along missions, he actually witnessed a gang shooting, which resulted in one member being sent to the hospital.
Now that's dedication!
End of Watch centers on the long-term friendship and partnership between two cops. It also stars America Ferrera as a tough female police officer who goes by her last name Orozco. Michael Pena plays Jake's partner, and Anna Kendrick gets the coveted role of Gyllenhaal's wife -- lucky girl! Watch will hit theaters in 2012.
