NYU Professor Claims He Was Fired From University For Passing James Franco

Jose Angel Santana, a former New York University professor, claims he lost his job after teaching James Franco in his "Directing the Actor" class. The teacher has filed a lawsuit claiming he was "wrongfully terminated."
Santana tells the NY Post he has suffered "public humiliation" since giving Franco a "D." The professor gave the actor a "D" for skipping out on 12 of the 14 classes.
In the legal papers, it states, "In my opinion, they've turned the NYU graduate film degree into swag for James Franco's purposes, a possession, something you can buy."
Santana also claims this would never have happened if he were a caucasian professor.
NYU has denied any wrongdoing ... calling Santana's claims "ridiculous."
NYU released the following statement:
- "It is regrettable and disappointing to see a faculty member -- former or otherwise -- discuss any student's grade for the purpose of his or her personal publicity."

so dumb. Virtually impossible to fire a professor over something like this. IMPOSSIBLE if the professor is tenured. James has talked about getting this D, (you can find the interview on youtube) and he doesn't say anything bad about the prof or complain or act as though the grade was undeserved. He did say that the class was "weird" but not because the CLASS was weird but just being in it was weird.
Franco paid for his degree but this one professor had the balls to challenge him over not coming to class. This professor didn't kiss Franco's ass and now the university is suing him .

The student didn't show up for classes he deserved an F. Maybe that is really why he got fired? What Prof. gives a D if you never did any classwork? I don't care who you are in class we are all equals there is no hierarchy!
