Britney Spears' little sis is all grown up ... and her daughter's no longer a baby.

Former Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn Spears has written a personal essay for Glamour magazine about her experiences as a teen mom and about her decisions to go public with the pregnancy news in OK magazine and to retreat to a more "normal" life in Louisiana.

Spears' account starts like this:

"It was 2007. I had been on a Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, and after we wrapped shooting, I just wanted to go home to Louisiana and finish high school, be a cheerleader, all that. Then I found out I was pregnant [by then- boyfriend Casey Aldridge]. I was 16. I'd had one boyfriend. It doesn't make it perfect or all right. But I was judged for something that probably most everyone does. I was young. I was in love. I was like every other teenager, except I had this last name. And I made a decision that is forever my decision."

On MTV's Teen Mom:

"When I saw MTV's Teen Mom was coming out, I remember thinking, Oh my God, I cannot wait to see this show because there's someone else out there. I mean, I feel for those girls. I've been that girl. It does show that motherhood is hard. There were so many times—especially when Maddie would get sick—when I would cry to myself and think, I really don't know what to do. It takes bravery to be a young mom, and it does take bravery to let the world watch."

Jamie Lynn's left Louisiana again, but not for Hollywood. She's in Nashville recording an album and looking forward to the next phase of her life:

"I'll admit, I'm kind of scared; it's a vulnerable place for me. But I think 21 will be the year for me. I hope it will be. Maybe even a boy—I don't know. Six feet tall, blond, brown, tan...I don't care. I'm excited for 21. Twenty-one is just going to be fearless."

The 20-year-old mama of one hit up the salon to have her hair made longer and blonder. Ya'll love it or what?

Before giving birth to baby girl Maddie at the age of 17, Jamie Lynn was the star of Nickelodeon's hit show Zooey 101. Now she's embarking on a music career in the hopes of reaching superstar status like her sis. Perhaps the blonder 'do will help!

Jamie Lynn Spears is following in her famous sister Britney's footsteps. The 20-year-old Kentwood native hit the stage for a performance at The Rutledge in Nashville.

Spears performed several original songs in front of family and friends ... including parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears. Sister Britney is touring overseas and couldn't make it.

After her performance ... Jamie Lynn, the mother of 3-year-old Maddie, Tweeted:

Just wanna thank all my amazing friends and family for coming out tonight!!!! #feelingthelove

Mama Lynne told People, "I am so emotional tonight." Her dad, Jamie, added, " We are so proud of her."

Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie was loving Las Vegas Friday night as she and her mom dined at Simon at The Palms. Jamie Lynn had the Big Eye Tuna and Maddie munched on the mac 'n cheese.

The pair also hit the pool during their time there ... baby daddy Casey Aldridge was nowhere in sight.

While Britney Spears was busy celebrating her comeback over the weekend with a new documentary, younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears was getting ready to celebrate her 20th birthday with adorable daughter Maddie Briann, 2 1/2.

"What else do you do on your 20th birthday weekend?" she tweeted Saturday with the pic of Maddie playing dress-up.

Spears, who turns 20 today, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since she had her daughter. Although the Zoey 101 star was once engaged to Maddie's dad, Casey Aldridge, the couple broke up last year. But now it seems that she's poised to return to the spotlight with a new album, which she's quietly been working on while playing single mom to Maddie in Louisiana.

It seems as if Jamie Lynn's excited about her future. Today she tweeted, "Goodbye teens... HELLO 20's!!!"

Sure, this sounds plausible!

Britney Spears apparently got to talking to her little sister Jamie Lynn at the Lady Gaga concert earlier this month and, according to OK! Magazine, Brit suggested she and JL both marry their boyfriends: Jason Trawick and Casey Aldridge.

Their source claims that organizing “a huge, over-the-top Hollywood affair” started as a half-joke, but then the twosome couldn't stop chatting about it.

Okay, let's just think about this calmly and rationally before jumping the gun - does Brit really need another wedding at this point in her life?

According to a report, Lynne Spears is moving Jamie Lynn out of Louisiana (and away from her older boyfriend) and back to LA where she'll live with Britney in an effort to jumpstart her acting career.

Mama Lynne is said to be very unhappy with younger Spears' relationship with a man ten years her senior, and thinks the move would be the perfect opportunity to get her away from her 28-year-old boyfriend and back to show business!

“Lynne is very unhappy about Jamie Lynn’s relationship with James. She thinks he’s too old for Jamie Lynn and has nothing to offer her,” a source tells The Enquirer. “Lynne wants to see her daughter get back into show business.”

But with Britney struggling to get HER life and family back together, would adding a troubled teen mother and her new baby to the mix really be the best thing?

After spending some quality time with her older sister Britney, Jamie Lynn Spears packed up baby Maddie and with help from dad, headed back to Louisiana this morning to the Spears' family home.

After ending her relationship with Maddie's father, Casey Aldridge, rumor has it that the teen mom is already dating a 28-year-old named James Watson!
