Her parents CAN'T "step up to the plate" since Britney REMOVED THEM from her life. She does not speak to either one of them because she blames them for encouraging her to go to rehab, and she won't let them see their grandchildren when the kids are in Britney's "care" (they see the boys when they are with Kevin).
