Jay Leno And Conan O'Brien Bash NBC!
Posted on Tue Jan 12, 2010 09:55 AM PDT
When you screw with comedians, you can expect to be roasted on their late night shows shortly afterwards, and that's exactly what happened with Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien last night. Jay started off The Jay Leno Show by expressing his frustration with recent events, commenting, "NBC said they wanted drama at 10, now they've got it! Everybody's mad!" After a few more cracks at the network, Jay concluded, "I leave NBC primetime the way I found it: a complete disaster!"
Ha! So what did Conan have to say on the matter? Conan began his program with this gem, "Good evening, I'm Conan O'Brien, the new host of Last Call with Carson Daly." Oh Conan, it's okay, you can just go to Fox, right? I'm sure they'd love to have you...
Should Conan go to Fox?

Leno is completely disingenuous. His contract expired with NBC for the Tonight Show. They gave him the 10 p.m. spot to keep him and HE blew it by being so self-conscious and unfunny. Dumpy, even. Now he is using the power he has over NBC to screw Conan. NBC should pay him off and let Leno go. He is not funny. He's finished. They should give Conan the time he needs to make his show work - 6 months is not enough time.
wish both of them would disappear since both are completely unfunny
Leno was pushed out by lorne micahels who supports Conan and Zucker zucked it up for everybody.
Now Conan failed, so he should go.
Let Jay the King of late night continue to smash creepy bitter unfunny letterman every night, just like he did for seventeen years...
Like anonymous at 12:15 said. Plus one of the spokesman for Fox said if Conan didn't work for NBC, since ratings are down by half since he took over the Tonight Show, why do you think he would work for Fox. It looks like they are leary of taking him.
Either way Jay wins.
NBC loses.
What does it take to fire Zucker.
he is not funny, big chin
Conan O'Brien wanted "The Tonight Show" and to make him happy so he'd stay @ NBC, he was promised that he could have it in 2009. Was this smart? Well, Jay Leno was forced out, and Conan lost half the old "Tonight Show" audience. I think most of what's on TV is crap, however, the rules seem to be that ratings count first and foremost, and whatever gets ratings stays on, so, Jay Leno should've stayed on "The Tonight Show" in the first place, but since things played out the way they have, Conan's getting slammed and therefore, he needs to go. That's the way it is.
Conan is funny . Leno is not . I watch Conan over Letterman , but Letterman over Leno . In fact, anyone over Leno . Who cares about if Leno has 15% more viewers, when his viewers are so old . How many products can you sell geriatrics ?
