Jennifer Aniston Fires Back At Bill O'Reilly Over Parenting Comments

Jennifer Aniston has replied to Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly after the host called the actress' recent comments about women not needing men in order to parent, "destructive to our society."

The Switch star retorted by saying: "Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth. And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who've not yet found their Bill O'Reilly, I'm just glad science has provided a few other options," Aniston told People Magazine.

Aniston had told reporters, during a press junket for her new comedy about artificial insemination: "Women are realizing more and more, knowing that they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child. Love is love and family is what is around you and who is in your immediate sphere."

The O'Reilly Factor host said Jen did a disservice to fathers by "diminishing the role of the dad." He told his viewers: "Dads bring a psychology to children that is in this society, I believe, under-emphasized. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena."

What's YOUR take on this debate? Do women need men to raise children or should they feel empowered if they go it alone?

No wonder the skank can't find a man or long term relationship. What a lonely life she must live; enjor your money. Some say it can buy happiness...

Team Aniston here.

Oh, yeah. We wouldn't want to "under-emphasize men". Men have been so underrepresented over the years. Jesus, people are ignorant. Apparently this guy has no idea that men have been emphasized since the beginning of time. What an ignorant statement.

6:33 if you had a man who loved you you wouldn't be on this thread posting your vicious comments.

They say venting your frustration and self-loathing as an anonymous commenter on a celebrity website can make you feel better about yourself.

Something tells me it only makes things worse.Frustration and self-loathing give way to jealousy and hatred towards people you've never even met before.

Enjoy your loneliness you sad little "person."

bitch is so desperate to get in the news nowadays she'll do and say anything

Wow, did you response Jen Aniston?

8:26 Did you learn to speak English from a Tea Party person?

8:22 does Aniston has some sort of special mind control device that caused Bill O'Reilly to turn this into a big deal?

I don't know why she would need any more publicity. She doesn't have to lift a finger to get people like you to obsess over her 24/7.

To think you clicked on the article, and commented, which gives the tabloids a good idea of what stars make money for them and which stars don't. These things are tracked by the number of clicks and comments you know.

In this new media age, in some ridiculous roundabout way, your one comment probably put $20 into Aniston's pocket. Money she can spend on a house, her hair or quietly giving her money to charity.

Yes, some people DO give to charity without issuing a press release about it. You know, like the half a million dollars she is rumored to have given to the victims of the Haiti earthquake without bragging about it in a press release.

Can't stand her!
She is a terrible actor, it has been said that she likes women that is why she does not have a boyfriend.

Funny because O'Reilly's bad beat the shit out of him on a daily basis! Hes a douch!

She did not do the response, one of her handlers wrote the response.

Posted by: Hmmmm

Maybe if men would stay around and parent the children they helped create, the idea of a "father" would remain relevant in our society. Ideally, parenting is a 2 person task.

-----

Maybe you should have someone write your responses too.

All public figures have their own spokespeople. And the best spokespeople are the ones who pretend not to exist.

You people are so stupid.... they must be sending each other thank you notes for the free publicity, it's showbiz idiots.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
