Jennifer Aniston Stepping Behind The Camera To Direct New Film

Jennifer Aniston is putting on her director's cap for a new project with Lifetime Television.
As part of the channel's Project Five series, a five-part anthology about breast cancer, Aniston will helm a short film along with Demi Moore, Alicia Keys and Monster director Patty Jenkins.
“Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small,” Aniston said in a statement. “We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts all of our lives, no matter who we are.”
Although it's impossible not to draw comparisons with Angelina Jolie, who's releasing her directing debut, Untitled Bosnian Love Story, later this year -- this is not the first time Jen has directed. In 2006, she made her directing debut with a short film called Room 10 as part of Glamour magazine's "Reel Moments."
But despite her disappointing box office run, will Aniston be giving up her acting career to direct?

"After you get enough movies under your belt you sit back and go, 'What's next?'" Aniston said in an interview. "It's getting to a time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction."

Has her box office run been more disappointing than Matt Damon's? He's had a string of flops over the last four or five years. So has Clooney. At least Aniston's last film made $100 million at the box office. Clooney and Damon would have to go more than a couple of years to find numbers like that. Just sayin'.
I have never liked her as an actress.. Hope she stays behind the camera's from now on as her acting is awful.
Jen's career is doing just fine. She's one of the most bankable celebrities out there. Get your facts! This is a project bringing to the forefront the terrible disease that cancer is and I applaud all of these people for their efforts.

Amusing how the X17 is trying to make Jennifer into a huge director when she's only directing a segment for a cable channel. It's laughable that Jennifer's fans keep saying she's a huge boxoffice draw. Everytime she's the big name like the Switch and Love Happens, the movies barely make back their low budgets of $20-$30 million. She's only successful when she's opposite big stars like Adam Sandler.
It's funny X17 how you always refer to Leanne Rimes as a husband stealer/home wrecker, but you never refer to Angelina Jolie as such, which she is. Brad was married to Jennifer when Angelina got her claws into him. Jennifer is a lady through and through. You cannot compare her to Jolie, Jennifer comes out on top anyway!

Maybe she should stop smoking first and fake tanning. Both are major contributors to cancer.
Hell no! she will suck the life out of her acting career because that's ALL that she has professionally. She's too cowardly to take on a FULL movie to direct. She's always doing a 'little' of something, but not much of anything different. It takes very little for her to feel that she's accomplished something because she's too afraid of going outside of her little box. So when she does something like not wear MAKEUP for a scene, she thinks that's award winning. It's not her box office that's the problem, she's never been able to carry a movie by herself, it's the sameness of the movies she makes. People are just getting tired of her. She makes too many movies; it's time she stop trying to laugh at her love life by making stupid movies and GET OVER IT.

Get your facts straight. And really move on from Brad leaving Aniston. YOU all make her look so Pathetic when you ramble on about how she lost a man to a better woman.
^^^as if you how it makes jen look. and no jolie made that move right after jen directed hers. as soon as jen showed interestin directing, she followed. jen is into business and there she's following her footsteps.
