Awwww! Jennifer Hudson has released the first photo of her two month old son David, and we're totally melting! Not only does mama look great, but her baby boy is absolutely adorable!

And motherhood isn't the only gig the Oscar winner has lined up: she'll return to television with her own ABC Christmas special, Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas. Hudson will share stories about growing up in Chicago and she'll also tape performances in different spots in her hometown.

Well, we never really saw too many pix of her pregnant, and looking at these first post-baby pix of her on MySpace, I'd say she doesn't look one bit different than she did before the baby!

Wait, lemme take that back - I think she actually looks better.

Course with all the tragedy she endured in the last year, the joy of a baby must have been an incredibly transformative event in her life, and she looks positively glowing!

Congrats, Jen, you deserve it!

X17online can confirm that Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and her fiance David Otunga welcomed a baby boy yesterday named David Daniel Otunga Jr.

David Jr. weighed in at seven pounds, fourteen ounces, and Hudson's publicist Lisa Kasteler told X17online, "The baby is beautiful and perfect. His parents are ecstatic."

A little over a month ago, the baby rumors started swirling about Jennifer Hudson, but her rep denied that the Oscar winner was preggers, telling the Associated Press there was "no no no no way" that Hudson was with child. Well, it looks like there was a little misunderstanding, because the Chicago Tribune reports that Ms. Hudson had a baby shower over the weekend!

Felicia Fields, a longtime friend of Hudson's tells the paper, "It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet." Well, I guess the secret's out now...thanks Felicia!

This will be Hudson and fiance David Otunga's first child, and while we're thrilled for the Dreamgirls star, we want to know if it's a boy or a girl...guess we'll find out soon enough!

Essence magazine reports that Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga are expecting their first child together! Two sources close to the star confirmed the news to the mag, but Hudson's reps have denied the reports, telling the Associated Press that there is "no no no no way" the singer/actress is pregnant.

Not surprisingly, Chris Brown and Rihanna skipped out on last night's NAACP awards, where they were nominated for outstanding male and outstanding female (respectively).

Rihanna was beat out by Beyonce in her category, and the outstanding male award, which Brown won last year, went to Jamie Foxx this year.

Big winners of the night included an emotional Jennifer Hudson (who won for both new artist, duo for her collab with Fantasia and album), Grey's Anatomy and Tyler Perry.

For the first time since three members of her family were murdered, Jennifer Hudson will perform live.

And what a performance it will be!!

Jennifer will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida on February 1st, the NFL has announced.

The Oscar winner hasn't performed in public since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew last fall. Her estranged former brother-in-law is facing murder charges.

Jennifer is also scheduled to sing at the Grammy's MusiCares event in Los Angeles on February 6th.

Jennifer Hudson had planned on returning to work for the first time since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in Los Angeles this week, on a video shoot for "If It Isn't Love", but has ultimately decided to cancel the shoot because she's still "not ready."

A source tells Us, "the video was set up before the tragedy and she felt like she should finish what she started, but she's realized that she's not ready to go back to work. It's too early."

Although we can't wait to see this star return to the screen, we certainly respect her decision to wait until she's ready.

The estranged brother-in-law of Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson was charged Tuesday with three counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of three of the singer's family members, according to the Associated Press.

Prosecutors presented formal charges against William Balfour in the deaths of Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, said Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state's attorney's office.

Balfour had been held on a parole violation since the bodies of Hudson's mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were discovered in their home Oct. 24.

The body of young Julian King, Balfour's stepson, was found in the back of an SUV three days later.

William Balflour, the husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister Julia, has been arrested in conjunction with the murders of Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Balflour emerged soon after the slayings as a primary suspect, but was just officially charged with the murders Monday.

He's currently in custody awaiting charges by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

Despite the horrible tragedy that befell Academy Award winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson, Gap's going ahead with the Holiday campaign starring Hudson that she did before her family were so brutally murdered.

According to Eonline, Jennifer had the choice to back out of the campaign (which was shot in July), if she so desired.

Gap spokesperson Olive Doyne tells E that "She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward."

And on her MySpace page, Jennifer posted a short message to her fans yesterday, simply titled "Thank You All":

"I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern.jhud"

Yesterday police confirmed that they have found the weapon used in the murders of three of Jennifer Hudson's family members. Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and her brother Jason, 29 were found shot to death in the family's Chicago home last Friday, and the body of her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King was later found in a nearby vacant lot in an SUV.

According to the Associated Press, a .45-caliber gun was found on Wednesday in the vacant lot, and it is "positively identified through forensic examination as the weapon that was used in the homicides," said police superintendent Jody Weis.

Funeral services for Hudson's mother, brother and nephew will be held Monday, and the Oscar-winning actress and her sister Julia just announced that they have established the Hudson-King Foundation for families of slain victims. On Hudson's Myspace Celebrity blog, she released the following statement:

In the wake of the tragic deaths of Darnell Hudson Donerson, Jason Hudson and Julian King, Julia and Jennifer Hudson have established the Hudson-King Foundation For Families of Slain Victims in honor of their family members. The specific purpose of the Foundation is to care for the needs of families who have lost relatives to a violent crime. This encompasses their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter as well as grief counseling.

There's more tragic news for Jennifer Hudson and her family.

The FBI now says that a body found in an SUV is believed to be that of Hudson's missing 7-year-old nephew, Julian King.

The SUV was found parked on the street in a neighborhood of brownstone homes and apartment buildings, and matched the one sought in an Amber Alert issued after Hudson's mother and brother were found slain Friday, police Cmdr. Wayne Gulliford told the Associated Press.

Reports say Jennifer Hudson has been called to the Medical Examiner's office to identify the body of the young boy.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that a body has been found in the search for Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's nephew.

A child's body was found in the 1994 white Chevy Suburban police were looking for in conjunction with the kidnapping of 7 year-old Julian King.

The car was found parked on South Kolin Avenue in Chicago and police have towed it away. They Cook County medical examiner's office sent investigators to the scene and they confirmed that the body of a black boy was found inside.

Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson took to her MySpace yesterday to one, "thank you all for your prayers and your calls," and two, to ask for help in locating her nephew.

Chicago police have the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister in custody as a suspect in the murder of Hudson's mother and brother. It is the suspect, William Balfour's 7 year-old step-son Julian who was abducted from the scene of the murders and who is still missing.

Balfour's mother said her son has nothing to do with the crimes.

Meanwhile, the police have called in the FBI to assist with the search of the boy.

Last night, we caught up with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest -- who worked with the former contestant who went on to win an Oscar for Dreamgirls -- and he called the murders "horrible" ...

Jennifer Hudson's mother, 57-year-old Darnelle Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson, have been found shot to death inside their home outside of Chicago.

A 7 year-old boy believed to be Donerson's grandson, appears to have been kidnapped from the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says officials were dispatched Friday afternoon to a South Side home where the bodies of a man and a woman were found, according to the Associated Press.

Jennifer is reportedly en route from Tampa to Chicago to be with her family. The Dreamgirls and The Secret Life of Bees star was recently engaged to her boyfriend David Otunga.
