I'm very happy for Jennifer Hudson- although I can't help but wonder how a first time actress wins an Academy Award when someone like Kate Winslet has never won one. But oh well, good luck to her. I haven't seen Dreamgirls so I can't comment on that aspect although I generally feel that musicals are not Best Picture-worthy movies. Just my opinion.

It was the song not her acting that won her the oscar. And plus she should have been nominated in best actress in leading role because that what she was. She was nominated as supporting actress because otherwise she would not have won. Her acting in the film was nothing special, now we must see whether shecan take on roles with less singing.

OMG Jennifer please STOP with the skin tight dresses. They don't make you look skinny and sexy they make you look like a stuffed sausage. Just because someone was able to get the zipper up doesn't mean you should wear it.

Jennifer was a terrific actress. Her singing ability helped tip the scale. I think she should have been in the leading actress catagory though.

Eveyone agreed with me and that is the only time since Barbra Striesand in "Funny Girl" did all the people in the movie theater give a standing ovation after every song she sang. And she didn't just sing. She acted...she became Effie. I am so happy for her.

She did not even have to act! This is what she knows. Could she act in a drama or comedy that has no singers? NO!

How the hell does she get an oscar and actors like Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise and a ton others that have been making movies for ages don't get Oscars. That was pathetic. I think you have to earn an Oscar. As for her singing her and Beyonce should shut the Hell up. All they do is Scream it sucks! The red dress was not for someone so damm fat.
