On the heels of Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Randy Jackson's exits, Jennifer Lopez has told Fox that she wants to return to American Idol.
According to Radar Online, negotiations are underway for Jenny from the block to join the judging table.
"J.LO's manager, Benny Medina, was in talks with Fox even before Mariah and Nicki announced their departures last week," a source told RadarOnline.com. "Benny told Fox that she does indeed want to return."
Jennifer was still uncertain about rejoining the jude's table in mid May.
"I loved doing the show," she told USA Today. "I've said that over and over. If it came down to it and things were right and it worked out right -- we have a lot going on right now. ... For an offer to come in and for me to consider it, I would have to sit down and look at my next year."
The network was definitely eager earlier this year for her to return to the talent competition. In fact, rumors recently swirled that they wanted to replace Mariah with Jennifer midseason in a desperate attempt to shake up the show. But Fox's plans seem to have changed since then as the network has been courting alums Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, original Idol Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and Adam Lambert for season 14.
The major overhaul is intended to improve AI's ratings slump, which reached its lowest numbers in 12 seasons.
