Jenny McCarthy has waded into shark infested territory once again and insulted Amanda Bynes.

While guest hosting The View yesterday, she told the panel of women that she thinks Amanda could be suffering from a mental illness. Jenny confessed that she was scared of Amanda's Twitter tirade following her post about police officers being at Amanda's home.

"I feel so sorry for her," she said. "Why would you talk bad or upset someone who has a possible mental disorder? So I'm going to stay out of it."

Jenny "upset" the troubled starlet back in May when she tweeted that police had been called to her New York City apartment. "I hope they get her help. Enough of this circus. She needs help," she wrote.

Amanda retaliated by denying that she needed "help" and saying "Aren't u 50 years old? I'm 27, u look 80 compared to me! Why are you talking about me? @JennyMcCarthy you're ugly! Police weren't at my house old lady! Shut the f**k up!"

That definitely shut her up. The Jenny McCarthy Show host deleted her tweets and wrote, "Sorry girl. Looking out for ya."

However, Amanda was uncharacteristically quick to forgive. "Thanks! I'm sorry I offended you! You're beautiful! I was lying! I'll delete our tweets!" she wrote.

When asked by Sherri Shepherd yesterday if the incident scared her, Jenny admitted that it did.

"That's somebody that I'm not going to start a war with," she told the girls.

It wasn't any normal day at the outdoor shopping mall, though!

Jenny McCarthy got all dolled up in a navy pencil skirt and black blouse to chat with Mario Lopez for Extra at The Grove today, and the blonde beauty was in such a good mood she gave us a wave on her way in!

The newly crowned VH1 talk show host is working the entertainment show circuit, and among many other topics, the scathing comments made about her actress cousin Melissa McCarthy were brought up in discussions.

Film critic Rex Reed called the Identity Thief star a "humongous creep" and a "female hippo" in his review, and her blonde bombshell relative is coming to her defense.

"When you have talent, you have talent. People shouldn't personally attack anyone who's in front of the camera. Judge the work, but not the way someone looks," McCarthy told Access Hollywood.

Jenny claims she was also pigeonholed into a certain stereotype by Hollywood.

"When I first moved out here, I really made a point that said, 'OK, I'm going to use my image to get in the door, but I have to use my brain to keep it going. It took a lot more than my implants to keep me going," she confessed.

We think you've more than proved yourself, Miss McCarthy!

Jenny McCarthy covers the January-February issue of Shape magazine, and we can't believe how tight the 40-year-old star's abs are!

Of course, there's a lot of hard work behind her amazing body, as the former Playmate of the Year reveals that she works out five days a week and watches what she eats. On her gym routine, Jenny tells the mag, "[I do] lunges, sit ups and pushups -- because I'm kind of working my whole body. Planking is still an awesome exercise for the core and your arms."

"Besides the actual working out, food is the most important thing," she added. "Especially in today's age how convenient fast food restaurants are, and how exhausted we are as mothers. It's too overwhelming that we sacrifice [healthy] food." So what's her fav snack? Watermelon! "It helps you if you retain water," she explained. "It's really filling and yummy."

Age is nothing but a number for this bubbly blonde!

Jenny McCarthy slipped into a little red dress last night for dinner with friends at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, and the former Singled Out host has never looked hotter! Maybe that's why the Chicago Sun Times just hired her as an expert blogger?

The 39-year-old former Playboy pin-up will be writing about relationships, fitness, dating and her experiences as a single mom to son Evan. Debuting yesterday, her first column discussed how married couples can spice up their sex lives. She may not be married, but from the sounds of it she's definitely still spicing things up with a new beau!

Apparently Miss McCarthy has been seeing jeweler-to-the-stars Pascal Mouawad for the past couple months, according to E! Online. He served as her date last night at the famed Chinese eatery, and even bought her roses on the way out. Who said chivalry is dead?!

"It's a very new thing and not serious yet, but who knows where it will go? Jenny lives in Chicago full-time now, but is back and forth a lot to shoot her show here, and so her and Pascal see each other whenever they can. He is often traveling because of work, but they are making it work and enjoying each other's company," a source told E!.

Jenny McCarthy covers the July/August issue of Playboy, and the 39-year-old stunner is featured in an 8-page nude pictorial shot by photographer Steve Shaw. This marks Jenny's sixth cover appearance and seventh pictorial for the magazine, and she recently revealed that "grew out a bush so nobody sees anything." Think she's telling the truth?

Jenny previously said she wanted to pose one last time before she turns 40 (she joked on The Today Show, "I figured [I'd do it] one more time before everything really falls apart"), so it's not likely that she'll bare all after this appearance, but never say never!

When it comes to a pool party, you can't beat Jenny McCarthy juggling coconuts in a tiny bikini top and plenty of vodka all around.

Even though the 4th of July is still a few weeks away, the Love in the Wild host enjoyed Svedka Colada cocktails at her friend's house in Chicago.

Pretty soon, the stunning blonde will be celebrating her 40th birthday by stripping down for Playboy. The nude pictorial will hit newsstands this summer.

Jenny McCarthy says her 10-year-old autistic son Evan misses her ex Jim Carrey ... and asks about him "almost weekly."

During a recent interview with Howard Stern, the Love in the Wild host told the shock jock:

"I've tried to ask [Jim] numerous times [to see Evan], because my son still asks. I haven't [reached out directly] . . . I think that sometimes people need to take a real break from each other. But I still love him. I think you can love people from a distance and respect him. But as a mother, you just hope when you have a relationship with someone, it has nothing to do with the child when you break up."

The former Singled Out host adds: "I tell [Evan] that someday you'll cross paths, meet again. . . [but] it's hard. He's been in therapy. It's a process, he's working on it."

Carey and McCarthy dated for five years before calling it quits in 2010.

Jenny McCarthy stopped by the Grove to tape a segment for Extra with Mario Lopez on Thursday, and she looks just as youthful and beautiful as she did in her Singled Out hosting days.

Maybe that's why she has agreed to pose for the July/August issue of Playboy? The former cover girl was named Playmate of the Year in 1993, and has been outspoken about her desire to pose nude for the men's mag one more time before she's too old.

No matter how old you get, Miss McCarthy, you'll always be a knock out!
