REPORT: Are Jersey Shore Fights Fake?

The Daily Mail has pointed out some inconsistencies in an episode of MTV's Jersey Shore -- inconsistencies that make the show seem staged.
In one frame from a catfight that occurred during the second season between Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and Angelina Pivarnick, Jenni 'J-Woww' Farley is wearing white socks. In the next frame, they have disappeared. Then, the socks are once again back on her feet (see photos above).
The Mail also reports that the cast was spotted rehearsing and re-shooting takes in Italy earlier this month. The Daily Beast says a waitress at the Astor Cafe said Pauly D and Vinnie were discussing a fight they were about to have while inside the restaurant. Then, they went outside and had the fight.
What do you think -- is the Jersey Shore real? If it's fake, would you stop watching?

definitely fake, or they are at least given the direction they need to take. i was in Italy when they were filming, and you could hear them even tell which one of the guys should walk in the restaurants door to first, second, third, etc .. thinking about it, it was probably the same episode you mentioned they had the fight. i just didnt stick around for it.

is the Jersey Shore real? Well, it's way more real than 'The Hills' or 'The City', that's for sure. Of course there's a certain amount of the 'fake-factor' in the show, no surprise.
Oh come on... OF COURSE its staged to a certain level. I'm disappointed that there are actually people who thought it was otherwise...
I would definitely stop watching...although after the first season every reality show becomes at least a little staged
not only the fights. When Jwow was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and she was going to see roger, she was wearing pants, then shorts and then pants again.
Also when deena and snooki put marshmellows all over the house and the situation was talking over the phone there was a marshmellow on the phone and then it wasnt there but the it appeared again!! Im sure there are a lot of it
