they started the adoption process 4 years ago if any of you actually bother to read the article. this was not an impulse decision and they had him since before oscars. i think it's awesome that she didn't bring it out before the oscars to get more publicity for herself she waited until a calmer time for the good of her new child. angelina should take notes.

To the post at 8:26am- perhaps you should get your facts straight- the story states they have been in the process of adopting for over 4 years and have had the baby at home since January. And what's the big deal that the baby is black? They were open to adopting a baby of any race or gender. Do you have any idea how many kids are waiting for adoption in the US? I think it's awesome she chose to adopt in the USA, it brings attention to the need. And maybe she hoped that presenting her baby to the world now would show us that she is doing fine and has something much more important than Jesse to worry about.
As for Jesse's comments- perhaps he just meant by his allowing her to file- that he wouldn't make it any harder for her than it has to be. Because he could drag it out for a long time if he wanted.
