Well this is pretty spectacular!
Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, Isabel Lucas and a few others reached the summit of 19,340-foot Mt. Kilimanjaro today after a six-day trip. The group is trying to raise awareness for the global clean water crisis... hence the sign that reads, "SEND WATER."
Emile, recently seen in Into the Wild, says that "the last 48 hours have been the most intense and physically grueling experience of my life. Miraculously, we all made it to the top together."
Check out more info on their website! And congrats to them for achieving their worthy goal!
Yay!

Mediawhores!! All of them!!
Why don't they just donate money for the water instead of this costly production which will get them in the limelight.
Ahhh guess I jusy answered my own question.
who gives a shit! what a stupid cause! same idiots that believe in global warming! i hope this climb hurt like hell and they sacrificed so much because that only makes this more enjoyable!!
Congratulations!
Anon-why such sour grapes?
Amazing job and great way to start of a new year! It's OK if they did it for selfish reasons such as getting a great hike and workout out of it. Heck, I would have done it if I could! What matters is that they the most pronounced thing you see is their request for more water to people in need and not in some other people cases, their surgically altered bodies in focus and steeling to spot to the cause. Kudos guys! Well done!Beautiful!
if you saw photos, you would realize this climb was not fun in any way. this was the LEAST selfish act i have heard about in a long while and i think we can all take note from these heroic adventurers. the global clean water crisis has nothing to do with global warming. look it up ignorant shit. 1 billion people around the world are living without access to clean water. WATER is a staple of human life. and thousands dies each day from water born illness. not all human beings live in the first world where fresh water comes from a tap. and GLOBAL AWARENESS is equally if not more important than a straight donation of what it took them to put this event on. no climber was paid to do this. stop bitching and go do something productive.
Any wonder with poop, pee and their garbage all over the ice where they climb, the snow is polluted and melting?
I think Emile Hirsch is such a talented actor. He is really underrated. It would be nice to see him get more publicity than Biel who is an average actress.
Worst f'ing site EVER! Impossible to navigate easily! Good cause, but I'll never go there again. Any interest I had is now gone. Goodbye.
Gosh I would hate to have been a guide on that trip. I bet they bitched and complained all the way up. People climb (or should I say hike) Kili every day. Big freakin deal.
