No Tony, no Pete... no problem!
Jessica and Ashlee Simpson met up at Beso last night for a little sisterly supper (with their buddy Ken Paves tagging along for fun). Sadly, Ashlee wasn't feeling too friendly, sneaking back to her car after dinner without so much as a smile or a word for the paps. Fortunately, Jessica was more than willing to play herself up for the cameras - in fact, when we asked about her QB beau moving into a house down in Texas without her, she slyly shot back "Who says I don't live in Texas?"
Of course, Jessica had plenty to smile about last night - after all, she's got a new album coming out in less than a week! Jess was even sweet enough to blast a track from her new record while waiting to pull out of the parking lot - sounds like a winner to us!
Round 1
Jessica Simpson was spotted wearing a "Real Girls Eat Meat" t-shirt, which was perceived by many as a jab at current flame Tony Romo's ex, Carrie Underwood. Carrie, as you may know, is a hardcore herbivore, and she was even voted the World's Sexiest Vegetarian not once, but twice by PETA.
Round 2
Last week, Carrie told Allure that Tony still calls her every once in a while, saying, "The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer." Ouch! At this point the battle of the blondes was just about even, but of course, Jessica had to take things one step further.
Round 3
In a radio interview yesterday, Jessica was asked about Carrie's statement to Allure, and she responded, "Tony and I both laughed at that...we got a chuckle out of it." When the radio host asked the wannabe country singer if it was true, Jessica responded, "I know it's not, I looked at his call log."
Unfortunately, it looks like Jessica hasn't yet figured out that you can delete numbers from your call log. We're not saying that Tony is the kind of skeez who would do this, but since Carrie "just can't live a lie," why is Jessica getting her granny panties in a bunch?
Singer, actress, and now beer spokesperson?! Yep, Texas native Jessica Simpson will be the face of Stampede Brewing Company's new drink, Stampede Light Plus, her publicist confirmed to X17online.
The light beer was developed by fitness expert and former Anheuser-Busch marketer Lawrence Schwartz, as well as the creator of Miller Lite, the late Dr. Joseph Owades. The goal was to create a healthier beverage for beer lovers, and the formula is infused with B vitamins, folic acid and other "functional additives." Healthy beer? Who knew!
Simpson said in a statement, "Yes, I work out and take care of myself, but I also like a cold beer once in a while." Schwartz, who is president of the Dallas-based brewery added, "We believe that people who choose to look after themselves, those who do the things to make their lives better, should have the opportunity to do this in all aspects of their lives. Why not drink the beer they drink?"

Our favorite country singer, Jessica Simpson, is on the cover of Elle Magazine next month, and it looks like she has more on her mind than just a new album!
Ashlee's older sis recorded a song called "Remember That," which she "hopes will deliver a message to abused women." Here's a portion of the lyrics: It doesn't matter how he hurts you/With his hands or with his words/You don't deserve it/It ain't worth it/Take your heart and run.
Jessica said she "had to record that," and added, "there's nothing on my album you're gonna hear that I don't relate to or that I haven't experienced."
The Elle writer then asked the singer, "I understand you've felt emotionally abused, but you're not telling me that you've experienced physical abuse as well, are you?"
"I don't want to talk about it," Jess responded, after pausing, "but I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run."
Hmm, sorry, we're a little confused... didn't Ms. Simpson bring this all up in the first place? Feels kinda like her confession is only a half-truth!
Either A, she's just opening up (it's not like she owes the world to reveal something personal) and that's totally okay... or B, she's just trying to promote her album. Which is not okay!
Think Jess would tease us just to get attention? She might've picked up a few tricks from Papa Joe, the master of media manipulation!

We're glad Jessica Simpson is happy with her beau Tony Romo and all, but really...

We snapped Jess at LAX with her main mane man, Ken Paves. I don't blame her for wanting to travel with Ken - she's fresh off the plane and her blonde locks look fantastic!

Jessica Simpson may be a Southern girl at heart - but over the weekend, a country-music-loving audience booed her like she hailed from New York City!
The AP reports that the blonde bombshell was ruthlessly booed during the Country Thunder USA festival held in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin over the weekend. "It's crap," one concert-goer told the AP. "She doesn't belong here."
Jessica's set consisted largely of country-influenced material, including a performance of "Come On Over", the hit song off her upcoming country record. She also covered several songs by country artists, including Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" and Shania Twain's "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?"
The pop starlet might have lost the crowd, however, when she decided to play one of her pop hits, "With You".
"I just don't hear the country in her," the AP quoted Adam Matos as saying. "I don't hear the twang. She's not good enough to be here."
Jessica, to her credit, didn't back down from the audience's disapproval so easily, earnestly asking the audience to let go of their tabloid-fueled perception of her and accept her as she was. "I'm just a girl from Texas; I'm just like you," Jess told the crowd. "I'm doing what I love and dating a boy."
And at least some of the fans on hand seemed to appreciate Jess' new direction. "I actually like her country songs better," a concert-goer named Mary Grace claimed. "She has a great voice, plus, she's adorable."

After cheering Tony on all day Saturday, Jessica and her sister Ashlee boarded a boat for a pleasure cruise with the QB and Ashlee's hubby Pete Wentz yesterday afternoon. Ashlee did her best to keep her pregnant belly hidden from view around the cameras, but her sister was significantly less shy, waving to the photographers from the deck of the boat.
'Course, if we had Jessica's beach body, we'd want all the attention we could attract too!

Jessica showed up in Lake Tahoe this weekend to support boyfriend Tony Romo (seen here pickin' up some beer!) in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship - fellow celeb couple Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong arrived earlier this week.
But that's not all - a preggers Ashlee Simpson and hubby Pete Wentz came as well! Hmm, what look is Ash sporting now? Maybe she's just dressing like Pete!
