Jessica Simpson may have famously mangled Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" a few years back - but her poor performance turned out to be the start of a beautiful friendship!
"Torturing" A Classic
In a recent interview with KBS Radio, Jess spoke about the agony of "torturing" one of her most treasured songs, claiming the experience left her vowing to give up singing forever.
"[M]y chin started quivering and I just started crying and then I walked off stage," said the singer, "and I said, 'I will never absolutely never sing again - ever in my life.'"

Fortunately, Jessica had one fan who wouldn't let her quit - Dolly Parton herself!
"Dolly was like, 'Don't you let that get you down. I wanna hear you keep singing,'and I was like, 'I am so sorry,' and she was like, 'I don't even want you to apologize. Let's take a picture and we'll end up working together some day.'"

But Dolly's kindness didn't stop there - she even wrote her kind wishes for Jessica down in a letter!
"[Parton] wrote me a letter 'cause all the media and the press were really, really hard on me, and I knew that that was gonna happen," Jess told the station. "She even went as far as to say, 'I will always love you,'and I just cried and cried reading the letter that she had sent me, but it was so encouraging.""
What a great story - and with Jessica currently trying to break into country music, we're already dreaming up duets for them to sing together!

She stopped being relevant years ago, after newlyweds to be exact. No one cares now. That is why she is now trying country music. That is her last ditch effert to break in to anything at all. No one is seeing her movies now since the last two bombed completely as did her last Pop CD's. She is now just a tabloid fixture like Britney. She has no real career as an artist. Just wait, the press and her record company will give her the "big buildup" then they will tear her down when her new country CD fails (which it will).
