She's coming out of hiding y'all!
It was announced today that new mom Jessica Simpson will be the first guest on Katie Couric's new talk show Katie, set to premiere Sept. 10. Simpson is not only set show off the results of her post-pregnancy weight loss, she will also discuss her "most intense challenges - including losing the weight she put on during pregnancy - the journey to get back into shape... and how she's learned to juggle motherhood and her billion dollar business empire," a rep for the TV show said in a statement.
The Texas native inked a $4 million deal with Weight Watchers to shed the pounds she gained while carrying daughter Maxwell. The 32-year-old gained an estimated 50 pounds, and has been working with trainer Harley Pasternak to tone and tighten while following the weight loss program.
The margarita-loving singer has not only adopted a healthier lifestyle, she's also cut back on her alcohol consumption. Although the blonde bombshell must lose a reported 20-30 pounds in an alloted time frame, she insists her slim down is on her own terms. "Weight Watchers hasn't put any pressure on me! I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great," she insisted.
Also tapped to appear on the episode is musician Sheryl Crow, who happens to sing the original theme song for the daytime gab fest.
We can't wait for the big reveal!
