Jessica Simpson Confirms She's Been Approached To Judge X Factor

Jessica Simpson finally confirmed what we've been speculating for months: that she's been approached to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at the X Factor judges' table.

“They have definitely talked to me about X Factor,” Simpson revealed to WWD. “I think it would be a lot of fun. It’s definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people’s dreams come true.”

Jess wasn't saying whether or not she had actually accepted an offer, but we think she'd be perfect for the role! And why would she bring it up if she weren't seriously considering the position?

Of course, Simpson, who hasn't done much singing lately, doesn't really need it -- her fashion empire is expected to reach $1 billion in sales this year.

Other prospective judges mentioned for a seat at Simon's table are Nicki Minaj, Cheryl Cole, George Michael and Paula Abdul.
