Report: Jessica Simpson Wanted For American Idol

Best idea ever! Although they should've put Jess on to replace Paula way back when.
Jessica Simpson has met with Simon Fuller several times and is in negotiations to become an American Idol judge, reports Life & Style.
"They like her. She's a good fit - and she likes it," claims an insider, but the singer won't be replacing Simon Cowell. "They're two entirely different personalities. This is part of a massive overhaul of the show. There may be more judges, more opinions."
Simpson's rep tells X17online that nothing has been confirmed at this time, but she also didn't deny that Jess is in negotiations.
Meanwhile, Simpson's dad Joe would reportedly love to see his daughter on the hit show. Would you?
