'Tis a pity that the youngsters have no appreciation for ageless beauty! They apparently are of the class that believes cars and women are the same; to be jumped in and to go as fast as you can. The great lover and carouser, Benjamin Franklin, wrote an essay 'On Older Women' which shows the correct attitude of appreciation for the beauty of all women and especially those who are gracefully aging. It's alright by me if the puppies do not have any appreciation for women of an age close to mine. As I told my kids, and still do at the age of 68, I am happy you don't like it, because that's more for me.

I met Joan Collins in the cigar lounge at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in 2002. She looked absolutely fabulous from a distance and up close. She smoked a cigar and chatted for 15 minutes. There is no doubt she is the sexiest woman I have ever met.

Joan Collins would have to be the most consistently sexy and confident woman over a twenty year period. She inspired me twenty years ago - I modelled my dress, behaviour and make-up on Joan and it changed my life. I received promotions at work, the quality of mail suitors rose and I just felt so good about myself. I started smoking Mores and learnt to be bitchy when needed.

For her critics I would say - have a look at what Joan has done with her life and what she has achieved. And look at how she looked at 40, 50, 60 and 70. If you can match that maybe you can offer advice. Most critics are just downright jealous and frustrated.
