Joaquin Phoenix Ditches The Beard, Teams Up With Miley Cyrus & Liv Tyler For Charity!

The last time we saw Joaquin Phoenix, he was virtually unrecognizable (not to mention incoherent) with a big, unkempt beard and hiding behind a pair of shades.
Now, he's ditched the beard, taken a shower, and can actually be understood in a new promo for the charity, To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
Phoenix teamed up with Miley Cyrus and his ex, Liv Tyler, to encourage people to vote for the charity to win a one million dollar donation for suicide prevention and the launch of a live online crisis network. (You can vote and get more info here.)
After numerous appearances where Phoenix claimed he was retiring from acting to become a rapper, several people thought it was an elaborate hoax, but X17online insiders told us his bizarre behavior was no joke. Looks like he finally got some help and is now moving on to help others!
