Here's Joaquin Phoenix in the poster for I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix, and we have to say, we're excited to see this! Phoenix announced during the fall of 2008 that he had quit acting for a career as a hip hop musician, and Casey Affleck decided to team up with his brother-in-law to document the transformation. Yeah, we were wondering about that too...
So did Phoenix really say bye to the biz during that time, or was his temporary change of careers all for the cameras?
I'm Still Here hits theaters on September 10.

Who gives a sh*t? Who was lamenting him retiring in the first place? Like no one saw through your supid PR stunt. Hey, make this movie: Joaquin takes boat to the Channel Islands while crew chums water with blood and guts. When large great white sharks appear, Joaquin jumps in.....legendary & no one will ever forget him!
it'd be awesome if no one saw the flick! ha! like zero people. this is the only way one can affect a celeb's ego....give nothing!!!! no interest, no views, no nothing. i like joaquin, he just seems like a real jerk unfortunately.

I think he is a good actor and I think lots of people will want to see the film. I agree he should have won for Walk the Line as well.
