Would You Watch A John Mayer Variety Show ?!?

Even though Rosie O'Donnell and others have tried and failed to bring back the network variety show, CBS is apparently moving forward with its plans for a John Mayer hosted show.
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said the net is "pretty close to closing our deal" with the singer for the as-yet-untitled show, according to Us Weekly.
While they haven't figured out the format of the show, it's a good bet it will feature a mix of music performances and sketch comedy.
Sound like something you're going to watch?
We love John, but we're not sure this we're feeling this idea...
