Wonder if they gave him massages too?
John Travolta has revealed that after his son Jett died in 2009 he was assigned two full-time handlers by the Church of Scientology who stayed by his side nearly 24/7 for over two years.
The 59-year-old actor told the UK’s Telegraph:
- “They were with me every day after Jett died. They even traveled with me when I needed to get away! And for two solid years it was like that. It was only in the second year that I started to take a break of a day or two just to see how I was doing on my own.”
Apparently there were reports that Travolta was thinking of abandoning his church, and at the time Scientology expert Rick Ross (no relation to the rapper) claimed there were “strong rumors coming out of Scientology that John Travolta [was] disappointed that the religion was not able to help his son more. It’s led him to question his faith.”
However, Travolta added, “I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had the support of Scientology. I don’t think I could have got through it.” It's not clear what exactly the handlers did for the Saturday Night Fever star all day, but we're glad he's in a better place now!
