Johnny Depp, with his new short 'do, headed to the set of his upcoming film Transcendence, on Saturday.

After spending time with lady love Amber Heard at the Rolling Stone show two weeks ago, the actor is back to work on the LA set.

The film focuses on two leading computer scientists -- played by Depp and co-star Paul Bettany -- working toward their goal of Technological Singularity, as a radical anti-technology organization fights to prevent them from creating a world where computers can transcend the abilities of the human brain. It also stars Morgan Freeman and Rebecca Hall.

It seems as if most of Hollywood got the memo on Saturday night when the Rolling Stones played an intimate hush hush set to unofficially kick off their 50 & Counting anniversary tour.

Gwen Stefani, Johnny Depp and the Olsen twins were just some of the famous faces that attended the 90-minute concert at the Echoplex in what was a successful start to yet another tour for the rock veterans.

Last night, Johnny Depp didn't hesitate to show love to his mob of faithful fans as he stopped to sign autographs on the streets of New York City after a stop by the David Letterman show.

The 49-year-old Pirates actor joined Bill Carter and The Blame for a special live performance on the late night talk show, showing that he's more than Captain Jack Sparrow. He's just too talented!

That is, a hug and a quick smooch on the cheek from a very attractive flight blonde attendant with a bottle of beer in her hand!

Over the weekend Johnny Depp was snapped taking off in his private jet, and we're not sure where he's headed, but he's definitely not bringing his kids with him! Maybe he's meeting up with rumored lady love Amber Heard for a romantic getaway?

Elton John threw his partner David Furnish a lavish 50th birthday party last night in L.A, and everyone from Johnny Depp to Elizabeth Hurley came out to help celebrate!

Held at the Balasco Theater, the bash had the hottest Hollywood celebs rubbing elbows with each other. The newly single Pirates of the Caribbean star looked dapper in a suit and scarf, while the British model showed off her best assets in a floor-length white cocktail dress.

Other attendees included Joan and Melissa Rivers, Neil Patrick Harris, Victoria Beckham, and more.

The Lone Ranger is riding into action next year, but we're getting a sneak peek at Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in Disney's epic tale!

According to IMDB, the flick "is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes."

The Lone Ranger hits theaters on July 3, 2013.

Johnny Depp was snapped on the Los Angeles set of The Lone Ranger today, and even though the 49-year-old actor was covered in makeup and clothing fit for a chief, he looked pretty hot! Of course, we'll always prefer Jack Sparrow to any other character he's ever played, but we can't wait to see Mr. Depp's take on Tonto!

His stunt double on the other hand, didn't appear to be having nearly as much fun:

Lily Rose Depp may be a young fashionista, but she skipped heading to a fancy department store ... instead opting for Goodwill.

The 12-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, who was wearing a black bustier-type shirt and cropped jean shorts, seemed to be dressed a little mature for her young age. We think Lily's friend seems to be dressed more appropriately for a pre-teen.

Then again, when your dad is worth millions, the normal rules must not apply.
