Fan Drops Lawsuit Against Johnny Depp

A lawsuit filed against Johnny Depp by a fan who claimed she was roughed up by his security detail at an Iggy Pop concert in LA last year has been dropped.
LA Superior Court judge Michael Johnson ruled that the 52-year-old woman — who sued as “Jane Doe” to protect her identity — will have to reveal her name if she wants to pursue her “complaint alleges physical battery,” but not “allegations concerning sexual activity or private conduct that courts have recognized as exceptional [which would allow her to remain anonymous],” according to court papers.
The disabled woman claimed Depp’s entourage and Live Nation security handcuffed her, ripped away her cellphone and dragged her, “exposing her buttocks” as she tried to get to her seat in a VIP section at the Hollywood Palladium.
The judge gave her 20 days to disclose her name in the case, or it will be dropped.
