Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have ended their 14-year relationship, his rep has confirmed.

Depp and Paradis had been together since 1998, and the couple have two children, daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp, 13, and son John "Jack" Christopher Depp III, 12.

Depp's publicist released the following statement to ET:

"Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children."

It was first reported in January that the couple were headed for a split due to constant arguing, and a source told Radar, "Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They're not married but they've been together for years and have kids together so it isn't as easy as just breaking up."

Shortly after that story hit the web, Vanessa shot down the report, telling the French TV show Le Grand Journal, "Of course it's false! People say we are buying houses in the middle of nowhere, or that we have fifty two houses in France. And that is along with saying we split up every winter and get married every summer, and that I'm on my twelfth pregnancy." Last month Depp denied that the two had broken up when he was doing press for Dark Shadows, telling reporters at the film's London premiere, "The rumors are not true. They are absolutely not true."

Depp is worth an estimated $300 million, so hopefully things will stay amicable when it comes to his finances!

Johnny Depp is set to play Tonto in big screen remake of The Lone Ranger, and after hearing the news of his casting, the New Mexico-based Comanche Nation Indian tribe has adopted him!

LaDonna Harris, a Comanche and president of Americans for Indian Opportunity, told the website Indian Country, “I reached out, and Johnny was very receptive to the idea. He seemed proud to receive the invitation, and we were honored that he so enthusiastically agreed.”

“Welcoming Johnny into the family in the traditional way was so fitting,” Harris continued. “He’s a very thoughtful human being, and throughout his life and career, he has exhibited traits that are aligned with the values and worldview that Indigenous peoples share.”

Depp has reportedly been interested in updating The Lone Ranger in an attempt to re-define the role of Tonto, who is John Reid's sidekick in the story. Armie Hammer plays Reid (aka the Lone Ranger), and the first photos of the two hit the web earlier this year, featuring Depp with a fully painted face and a crow on his head.

Johnny Depp is fuming mad about reports that claim he split with partner of 14 years, French singer Vanessa Paradis. The actor put the rumor mill to rest Wednesday at the London premiere of his new movie Dark Shadows, marking the first time the Pirates of Caribbean star has discussed the divorce rumblings.

"The rumors are not true. They are absolutely not true," he told The Sun.

The couple has been plagued by allegations that their union is on rocky ground for months, and there were even whispers circulating that the Rum Diaries actor was enjoying secret hook-ups with Ashley Olsen!

Mr. Depp's lady love was noticeably absent from the film's big night, but he insists it's not because they aren't together.

"No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can't say enough about it not being over," he added.

Johnny Depp stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his latest film, Dark Shadows, and the actor revealed to the talk show host that he doesn't actually watch himself in movies!

When an audience member asked the Pirates of the Caribbean star about a scene in Edward Scizzorhands, he replied: "I'm not sure I saw that film to be honest with you."

We guess Mr. Depp doesn't watch Tim Burton movies, because he's in all of them!

The star power was in full effect in Hollywood Monday night during the premiere of Johnny Depp's new movie Dark Shadows and the main man was looking dapper as usual!

The 48-year-old actor hit the black carpet dressed in Tom Ford, followed by his equally stunning co-star Michelle Pfeiffer and director Tim Burton.

Apart from the big three, other celebrities like Eva Green, Eva Green and Alice Cooper attended the star-studded premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

It's hard to believe this is Johnny Depp's first ever appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but the Oscar nom was all smiles as he joined co-stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Grace Moretz to promote the upcoming Tim Burton flick Dark Shadows , on Monday afternoon.

Depp, who plays a vampire in the dark comedy, dished on where he gets inspiration for the zany characters he plays onscreen, while Michelle revealed that the newly single star is on her bucket list!

The Pirates of the Caribbean star says of his inspiration for characters:

"The idea behind Will Wonka, certain ingredients you add to these characters like Willy Wonka for example. I imagined what George Bush would be like incredibly stoned. And, thus was born my version of Willy Wonka ... Scissorshands was a combination. It was the idea of like a newborn. Like a newborn seeing things for the first time and also a dog that I had. Sort of, this dog that I had This unconditional love, this sort of purity in my dog. Those were the basic ingredients…"

"He has been on my bucket list but at one point I was leaving out to “work with” part and um… I realized that might not sound so good…"

"I fear it more than anything in the world," the father of two revealed to Ellen. "Doing a film when it’s choreographed and you’re a character. It’s all right but in life I’d rather swallow a bag of hair…."
